Will Avatar Land and Africa connect?

One thing I always noticed about Animal Kingdom's design over the years is that Camp Minnie-Mickey was the only land not connected to the others outside of Discovery Island, basically huddled in its own corner. Granted, Dinoland USA was like that as well in the first couple of AK's years, but that was corrected with the Expedition Everest expansion in Asia, which build a bridge to connect the two lands. Rafiki's Planet Watch is isolated in its own corner as well but who cares about it lol

So, with Africa itself being expanded with the Harambe Theater area and Avatar Land being currently developed..would it be possible for there to be connecting pathway between these two areas? It would be nice to have all these lands connected to each other in someway, kinda like a big Circle of Life. :p

Yes, I believe it's been stated that that is the plan.

Yes, they will connect. You can see the construction wall in this picture behind the new restrooms in Africa where the path connecting Avatarland will be.

I hope that there are more animal exhibits or a dark ride in development for the Africa to Avatar path.

Agreed. There's already a bit of a gap between the FOTK theater and the bathrooms. It's likely that the path after the bathrooms towards Pandora will be relatively long when you at the aerials. Putting some sort of attraction in that space would be quite welcome (I actually think there's enough room for a mini-land if they don't want to do more Africa, but not expecting anything).

My opinion has always been that the best and deepest immersion in the Orlando themeparks is found in both Harambe and Anandapur. The theming in Africa and Asia is absolutely top notch.

Actually, with everything being done to Africa, I have been hoping for more additions to the Asia section. I know that River of Light is technically in the Asian section, but I wish that Anandapur would be expanded upon. An additional restaurant would be nice. I have given up hope for additional rides beyond those for Pandora.

Is there like a bridge or something to Discovery Island being built back there behind the restrooms? I know I saw a bridge or something back there.

There's always been a bridge back there behind Pizzafari. It's just backstage access only (which may or may not change with the completion of this new path).

It looks like the path may go under that bridge.

Hmmm... Now there's an option I never thought of.

I'd always assumed they'd stay at the same grade and either bring the bridge onstage or have gates on either side of the walkway that they'd open only after hours or in an emergency (like an ambulance needed to get to First Aid). Going under the bridge makes sense.
