DL and DCA both have lovely iron gates across the existing turnstiles that they keep closed when those stations aren't in use. I see no reason that they would remove them in the future when they get the MM+ system. They certainly seem like they would be more effective than the dinky little ropes they use in WDWIs Disneyland going turnstile-free too? Because at least WDW has the huge expanse of land as a buffer to dissuade any potential gate-crashes...
I have a question sort of related to this. I know they track how many people enter the park by the band but how do they track how many people leave the park in order to truly know how many people are really in the park?
A whole lot of the bottle neck is caused by stupid people. I can not count the number of people In front of me who have acted like it is rocket science to tap the band or card and stick their finger in the scanner.Lines are just as long with that flashing Mickey ball-thing as they were with turnstiles. It seemed to me that part of this was due to MB's being unreliable and a large number of people had to have their details checks with a CM and their Ipad.
If they wanted to speed things up, here's a suggestion: Do something with that pointless bag search.
