Wildest Ride at Animal Kingdom - the safari?

The Safari training is good. But it's not what it should be, nor is it nearly enough. So much of it just becomes "you learn as you go"

Do they have a trainer that goes out with them on some of their first trips? If he was just that bad I can't imagine him getting past that stage. But the more and more I go over this in my mind I think he was inebriated or as someone said above was maybe having a medical issue. Perhaps he was diabetic or something and had low blood sugar. I just can't believe an inebriated cast member could be allowed to get on a safari truck. Just like I wouldn't believe it if there was an inebriated bus, boat, monorail or tram driver.

Side note - I did have a tram announcer say damn one time going to the magic kingdom. Just sort of rolled off his tongue. I don't think he was inebriated just one of those that slips out as he seemed to be going off script a bit while we were waiting for other tram traffic to clear.

A pilot was arrested for attempting to take off drunk on a commercial airliner last week, so it certainly seems possible a safari driver could be driving under the influence at a theme park.

My confidence in Disney is actually higher than airlines. My dad worked for one for about 30 years and I know the type of crap that goes on there. Pre 9/11 we use to be able to go down with him and run around in the tugs, crawl inside airplanes etc.

BTW. . . love your name.

Just let it go and don't waste your time or theirs. You're going to spend upwards of ~30 minutes on hold in order to speak to someone and then they will transfer you to another number and spend another ~10 minutes on hold just to be told that they will look into it. :)

Probably wise advice there. Also like your name and picture!
