So, we're going to WDW in December and staying at WL for the first time (we've never seen it in person). It took months of deliberation for me to come to this lodging decision. It won b/c of the holiday feel/decorations, the boat ride to MK and Contempo, and the overall location. About a month ago I started second guessing my choice. The reason will probably seem quite silly, but here goes...
...back in 2005 DH and I (pre-kids) went to Yellowstone and Grand Teton- we stayed several places in the parks including the Old Faithful Inn. While the Old Faithful Inn is not the only inspiration behind WL, it's kind of hard to miss the stylistic similarities. So, having stayed at the Old Faithful Inn, I worry that I might be let down staying at WL. This was one of the cons on my list when making the selection for Disney. It's not fair to compare the 2 since a trip to Yellowstone and a trip to Disney are 2 totally different things...but I find my concern growing again.
Maybe the concern is just my brain trying to conjure up something extra (and not needed) for me to plan. but has anyone stayed at both and have any thoughts on this?
