Wilderness Lodge or Pop in January? Help!

I am basically beside myself trying to figure out how to plan my trip to WDW. I was supposed to go this year in October for my bday, but the bf and I bought a house and had to make some rather large home related purchases...anyway, so I was looking at going around Jan. 15th.

THEN...I saw how great the rates are to go in Oct this year and stay in the WL (I have always wanted to stay there, Contemporary is my dream but I guess I can save that for my honeymoon). It is around $1300 and that is what I was planning on spending at a value resort.

So I was wondering if they usually have a discount this good during January, or should I not plan on getting to stay at WL and just resign myself to stay at a value resort? I really appreciate your opinions, comments, and advice!

Your chances are great that they're gonna run a great "spring" special for Jan-the begining of March. There's always the possibility of them not doing it this year... but they always have in the past! :)

Keep your heart set on your goal... hopefully it'll work out!!!

We stayed at WL this past January. We bought a AAA membership specifically for this trip. Just a couple nights with the AAA discount paid for the membership fee.

But whatever discount WL has, most likely will be available for the values too. So all depends what you can afford.

I went in early January...and they did offer a special. If you bought a package w/just the standard tickets, you got a PH and the Plus options. So I don't know if this is what they are going to do next year or not...but that was what we were offered last year.
