Wilderness Lodge help

One thing our family has always enjoyed is, after we've spent the day at the park and head back to the resort for the evening, we'll head on down to the lobby and play cards. Not only does it have a great atmosphere down there, but it seems to attract curious onlookers, almost as if they never thought of doing it themselves and find our game amusing.

Go out back and watch the geyser go off.

Eat in Whispering Canyon at least once.

Walk over to Ft. Wilderness and check out the campground with all the sites decorated for Christmas. While there, you could also see the horses and go to the sing-along, make some s'mores and have fun. :)

Thanks for all the great responses. I got a few more questions. I now know I must try Whispering Canyon, but aside from that are there any special treats that are unique to the WL that is a must try , and even any special holiday treats. Also is there any special activities or entertainment that I should participate in. For example i know that the GF has a band at night , the Poly has the lighting ceremony, does WL have anything.
Thanks again

I've seen the bell choir perform at the WL, but it's not typically a scheduled event you can find out about beyond one day. As @216bruce said, the lobby of the Villas next door is something you must visit. It's nicely decorated for the Christmas season and very relaxing by the fire place which is two sided, go to the Iron Spike room and just unwind.

Get the list of hidden Mickey's for the resort. If you can find all of them in main lodge and the DVC section, you'll be rewarded with a free pin.

I haven't stayed at Wilderness Lodge yet, but I have eaten at Roaring Fork a couple of times - once for breakfast, once for lunch. The lunch counter service was really good and breakfast has specialty Mickey waffles - be sure to get those at least once! :)
