Wilderness Lodge CLub Level vs Boardwalk Inn Water View

I know this is just another silly comparison thread, but after a lot of thought I have narrowed it down to these two choices.

We've stayed at the wilderness lodge once and it was really nice, but at the time there were bats that had infested the resort and freaked my wife out. She hated it because of that.

Never stayed at the boardwalk and it seems awesome, but we could get club level for the same price at either the wilderness or animal kingdom lodge.

OMG bats.....well we have lots of bats in Texas...but I prefer them in their caves or on the river in San Antonio NOT visiting the same resort I might be at!!

What kind of view are you getting with the Club Level? I did a lot of Club Leveling in my day and I won't pay Disney a dollar for it. Means nothing to me except that I have to screw around with a key in the elevator. So, I'd just compare views. And if WL view is a pretty one, I'd much rather have that than a BWI water view.

BWI water view can be loud late at night if the weather is good and the nightlife gets kicking on the Boardwalk.

We are actually pretty concerned about the noise level. I've heard everything from "it was awful" to "we just closed our patio door and didn't hear anything".

As to the view question at wilderness lodge- it would probably just be a woods view.

All of the standard (non-suite) club level rooms at WL are on the 7th floor and while the rooms have balconies, they are dormer rooms which means in order to see off the balcony you have to be standing up and not sitting down. You can't see the view from inside the room either. So "view" is really not an issue.

That being said, the food offerings on club level are very good and the club level cast members are very friendly, helpful and attentive.

But given the choice between club level WL or standard view Poly, Poly wins. (Except during the holiday season when WL wins for decorations!)

I don't know how they heard nothing. I could hear a dull "thump, thump, thump" from my room (with the door closed) at the Beach Club.

I'd take the woods view at WL. But that's me. Good luck with your decision!
