Wierd thing at Splash Mountain

When I was at Magic Kingdom on Monday, Splash Mountain wasn't giving out fastpasses at all during the day. I'm not sure why, but the machines just had the covers over them and the sign that says the distribution time was blank. It was like this all day, too. I thought it was kinda wierd. It was good though, because when i walked by it at 3, the line was in the outside loops and it said 15 minutes wait. I didn't believe it so I got in line and waited a little over 10 minutes since there was no fastpass going in. If anyone knows anything about this, please post.

During the colder months when not as many people will want to get 'wet' and cold they close the fast-pass distribution because there is not enough demand for it, and the lines are already short enough with out FP.

Yea, that's what I thought at first, although at 3 it was getting warm enough where the water felt good. When I did it at 9:30 in the morning though, it didn't feel as good

It has nothing to do with the weather at all.

When MK forcasted attendence drops below a certain # (dont ask) We turn off FP at the Mansion and Jungle. When it gets even lower, Splash and Buzz are next. Then on really slow days, like 2 or 3 days a year, Space and Thunder are next. Pooh and Pan are always on.

The stand-by line moves about 3 times as fast without FP. So on slow days, we can keep wait times down, even without FP. FP would be more inconvience then a help.

hope this helps

Hey!
Was it raining or storming that day?? If so, that was probably why there was no fast pass. Or another possiblilty was that they ran out of little slips of paper with the logo not printed on there or they had a problem with them?? Cuz they just put them in and probably have to make sure they work properly.

I'd listen to the cast member's explanation. It's basically correct.
