We have priced trips to Europe for cheaper than Disney trips. “Once in a lifetime” trip or our yearly Disney trip? Pretty easy decision for us. I look forward to pricing out other locations in the future too. We’ll be back, but it will be closer to every five years going forward.

I love Disney. They inspired my company. And I used to go to WDW twice a year. Until the disaster that was my last trip.

Next year I’m going to Sandals at St. Lucia I even booked a private helicopter to avoid an hour bus trip. And it cost less than my last two WDW trips.

So? We are GIFTING our DVC contracts to my dear eldest son (who wants them), and getting out of WDW altogether.
It's just not fun anymore. If I want to fight a War? At least someone's Army will pay me. 😅

They don't have any good plan for that at the moment. The "rationing" of park admissions began with the COVID protocol to limit capacity for social distancing, and for some reason they are still doing it. Allegedly it's because they are understaffed, apparently all the park employees they laid off aren't interested in coming back? Or maybe since people are still willing to pay full price for less entertainment, they just aren't going to bother to accommodate their guests the way they used to? Your right, it doesn't make sense to put people through this stuff, and the Genie Plus and Boarding Passes seem like scams that don't work... I'm waiting until next summer to visit, they unfortunately turned the 50th Anniversary into a scam this year

I completely agree. When airlines were cheaper(alot cheaper) we would fly down when my shift had me off friday to monday, about every 8 weeks. We had AP, we would just hop the ME and run around the parks all day and night. No more last minute trips, even with the APs. We can only have 3 park reservations at a time. Our last trip we had reservations for monday, tuesday and wednesday. We could not get thurday or friday after monday night. That's unacceptable. Luckily we also have Universal APs, so guess who got our $$$$$?

Our APs both expires in mid December, we are going to renew and hope 2023 is better. If not, we are most likely done. We've been teetering back and forth about that since the start of covid. But now that we can get Florida resident passes, we figured we would give them another shot. $1600 total for the 2 of us for both Disney and Universal, so why not give it a shot.

You can go to Hawaii for a lot less than that. (Depending on where you live I suppose).

We went to Honolulu last year and our flights were equivalent to flying to Florida and the hotels were equivalent to staying in a moderate at WDW. We went for 5 nights and I think we spent about $4k.

Try going to Kauai next time where they filmed Jurrasic Park etc and the island of Maui. More remote.

if you are staying on property, you can make the same amount of reservations as your hotel stay is. subject to your pass block out dates.
