On Saturday I put in the Cinderella II video for my four year old. Before the video was the commercial for Disney World talking about the 100 year anniversary and the theme was making your dreams come true. Well after the commercial ended my daughter looks up at me with the pure innocence of a child and says "Mommy my dream is going to come true." I got teary at that moment and still do as I think of it now. We're going to Disney to give our kids the experience of Disney. Whether I get to ride all the rides or not doesn't matter. That my kids will get to see the Disney characters they love so much in person will make the trip for me. To borrow from a commercial: Plane fare to Disney--$1,000. Tickets and hotel-- $1,300, Food, etc.--$1,200, Seeing my daughters meeting Cinderella--PRICELESS!!

22 Days and counting!

I hope you have a great trip to Disney. And enjoy EVERY second of watching your daughters expressions when she finally gets to meet Cinderella.

Have a fantastic trip! Reminds me of the Disney commercial:

Close up of boys eyes.
Slowly pans back.
Shows full expression of wonderment.
Parents: "Billy? This is only the Front Gate. Let's go!"

Wow if your kids are anything like my sis they'll just stare at Cinderella. lol She got there and she just looked at Cinderella didn't say one word. And the whole day she's going I have to tell her this and this and blah blah blah! lol Then she froze. It was precious! :)

The look of wonderment in my granddaughter's eyes when she first saw her idol, Sleeping Beauty, will be with me forever. She is slightly handicapped and needs a wheelchair while in DisneyWorld and Sleeping Beauty came up to her and bent down to hug her and I thought my heart would explode looking at her precious face. Nothing can ever take that "magic" away!

We have yet to take our little boy to WDW. He's 2 1/2. I want so badly to take him. It may be a couple years before we do, though...my wife is pregnant with #2 now. We'll probably wait until the next one is a couple years old. Our son likes to watch the WDW DVD, though. He doesn't realize it's a real place he can go to, yet.

I did get a little taste of what he'd be like when we took him to Dollywood last Saturday. He had a ball...wanted to ride everything. The child has no fears.

I've experienced the magic that happens taking young children to Disney, the thing that blew my mind was how we all can enjoy Disney now that my kids are teens and pre-teens. It's one of the few things we can all enjoy as a family. The look on my 13 year old daughter's face when she insisted we ride Dumbo together-absolutely priceless!:D

Have a great trip!

Thats so sweet but........warning....... be prepared you will go back every year! lol..... I didnt realize i was hooked till i got back from our first vacation there and i was already planning the next!
My husband I and got married young and had our first 2 young so when honeymoon time came around we decided we did not want to leave our kids and go to mexico so we decided on a kid frinedly place. We had bothe been to WDW when we were very young (before epcot). We went our first time as adults in 96 on our honeymoon with our 2 kids ages 1 and 3 and we have been back every year since. We now have four kids and we have even gone pregnant and when the last two were newborns. Nothing will stop us! Have fun and definitly try to get into the castle for breakfast. :sohappy:
