I don't think the tech for IMAX 3-d was perfected when the movie was filmed. Definately not for IMAX DOME 3-D.
Personally, I am not a fan of 3-D. To me it makes everything look 2 dimentional but at 3 dimentional distances. IE. flat objects stacked at distances apart.
