Why No NEW Toontown in FLE?

Mickey's Toontown Fair has been one of my sons favorite places to visit in the Magic Kingdom since we began going there when he was just 6. He is now 18 and although he has certainly outgrown the original thrill of seeing Mickey an Minnie's houses he is still very nostalgic about it. I think the FLE is going to be a wonderful thing when it is completed but it truly is more girl oriented, where the fab five are for everyone. Mickey Mouse is THE reason there is a Walt Disney World and he must not take a backseat to anyone or anything. I truly wish there were something we "ordinary people" could do to make a difference in this situation, but it seems quite hopeless.:(
I do get the whole nostalgic thing, a lot has changed or will change that I love too. If its for the betterment of the park its worth it and the FLE will make the area better than toon town fair in my opinion. As for Mickey Mouse taking a back seat, WDW didnt have Mickeys toon town fair for a long time. Even when it wasnt there Mickey was always the centerpiece. I feel (especially in the MK) you cant help but see, "it all started with a mouse".

Why would it work there? That doesn't really make much sense.

Because it has constant traffic flow, you could easily add retail to it and sell photopass and be a way to put characters into a themed area without making a "photo room" like they currently have. Why wouldn't it make sense?

Anyone know if Toontown will still be open through September? I am hoping for one last stroll through there before they demolish it.

September is usually mentioned to be the last month of Toontown's operations, but I am not sure if it means beginning of September, end of September or beginning of October.

I think the lack of a toon town and a true home for Mickey and his friends is a horrible thing for the Magic Kingdom. Mickey is Walt Disney and he should have a showcase and land just for him to be everywhere! Toontown even if it was lacking did this to an extent but could have been and should have been so much more!!

It could have been dedicated to get the young ones to see and believe in the mouse and his magic!! With his own in closed ride, make it something that you are in an adventure with Mickey and his friends as they try to save toontown!

It needs to happen because I have to go out of my way to get my two year old interested in the mouse! And that is not the way it should be.

I would say scrap the whole ph idea, and make a full toontown, with a crazy dark ride about the fab 5 and somehow put in all the other disney characters that arent really represented in the mk, IN ANIMATRONIC FORM NOT VIDEO SCREEN FORM, they have such an array of characters they can bring to life. such a shame how theyre just left to rot

I'd say bring Toontown into the Studios like in those early plans. Maybe taking up parts of the Backlot or somewhere on Sunset Boulevard if they even have the room there.

Ok so here's my take on the matter. Everyone is saying that it doesn't fit the FLE theme, but Toon Town Fair wasn't part of FL but it's own land. So why can't they build a better Toon Town/Town Town Fair and just make it an entirely different land apart from FL like they did in the first place.

They can even market it as it's own land and you've got this huge expansion of one land plus an entire new land. And I mean it's the Magic Kingdom! Mickey and Friends need somewhere to live!

My thoughts exactly, I mean the whole backstory about mickey's ACTUAL house being in dl and his country house in wdw is nice, but those who visit the parks (who arent fanboys) really can care less, they want to see mickey's house! not some photo-op at town hall but his actual house! To get rid of his house all together, along with the rest of toontown so I can color with aurora flat out sucks.. There is no reason that the best toontown in all the disney parks cant be made here, isnt mk the #1 most visited park in the world? Shouldnt it have the best of everything?
