Broadway Theater Was In The Works
I remember in early presentation about Downtown Disney West Side, there was a rendering of a Disney Theater that was supposed to feature broadway style shows, but all of the sudden, it was replaced by the Cirque concept. Not sure why, but it was certainly less risky to Disney to have an outside group produce the show and pay rent. The West Side was built on the cheap.
