Why no Bambi in any of the Disney Parks?

Should Bambi be represented in the Disney Parks?

Do you feel that Bambi deserves recognition in any of the Disney Parks? It's the only classic animated film made during Walt's lifetime that is not represented in any Disney Park (to my knowledge). If I am wrong please let me know.

Before anyone starts in on how Bambi's mother was killed and its too sad, etc look no farther than The Lion King. Basically it's the same plot but with Lions. I know that some will begin to point out the differences between the two films but they are extremely similar.

Question is- Do you feel that Bambi deserves a place in the Parks?

I could've sworn Bambi was part of the Mickey Mouse Revue (ran until 1980 when it moved to Tokyo until 2006) but every list of included characters I find doesn't have him so you may be right... he's not been represented. Interesting!

I do believe it should have some recognition...but then there are so many amazing classic films that I believe should also have some sort of recognition too. Is Bambi better than any other?

I still think that if Disney is going for it's brand about all else when it comes to theme park attractions (as it appears to be doing) then why doesn't it just redo the Great Movie Ride with scenes from all the unused classic Disney films?

I have always wondered what kind of attraction could be done with Bambi...and I admit, dark ride (or scene in a dark ride) is all I could really come up with. I always thought how nifty it woulds be...to feel the heat from the forest fire, or the cold from the ice pond scene...(a bit like the old test track!)

Even Sword in the Stone is represented! I find it odd that there is zilch for Bambi. Not even a wall plaque near a bathroom.

I hope I didn't just give the Imagineers their next attraction. Once the Tangled bathrooms are revealed, I nominate the Bambi backwoods bowel movement area in the hidden far corner of New Fantasyland!

I'm only talking about classic animated films made during Walts lifetime. Bambi is the only film not represented.

Ok I know now why I thought Bambi was part of this... you make the call here but I'm thinking no... In the Snow White section of the show there are two deer by her. I assume they are supposed to be the deer from Snow White however.

Well, The Lion King is Hamlet, so no it is not the same story as Bambi, but that aside, it is a bit surprising, especially since it has not faded into obscurity (even Mary Poppins can be found in both MK and EPCOT).

The Hamlet argument is a familiar one but at the end of the day the two stories have more similarities than differences. Still no Bambi! I don't even think he's in AK.

Looks like Bambi is represented (or was) in World of Color on the West coast...

And we have a winner! ExtinctJenn are you a lawyer?

Still it would be nice to see something permanent somewhere.
LMAO! No but you got me thinking and that's dangerous... you sent me on a hunt and I had to find something! :D Heck I think that's pretty much what lead to the site I run now... someone asked a question, I started doing research and then realized there was a whole lot to tell in the stories of what's not around anymore. BAM Extinct Disney site up an running! LOL!
