It is open 9-6pm. Not sure why. Other days it is open until 8 or 9. I figure that Mickey's Halloween party is on that day but it isn't. This might be one of the first full days of our trip and I don't understand why it is closed at 6pm that day.

I believe it's the Cast Member service anniversary party. They throw it every year.

Yep. My family got to WDW on Thursday the 28th last year, and this event was happening then, as well.

No DVC events usually start after regular palk closing times. Usually start around 9-10pm. Park never usually closes that early for it. And all of our DVC events are at HS in Oct.

Makes sense. I just had to look up a park hours calendar from last year to try to confirm my memory, and it did close at 6 with no Halloween party, but doesn't have anything else listed. I can't remember what event it was.

I don’t remember exactly what it was last Sept either, but do remember that early closing as well as the 11/30/17 early closing for CM party. I think the Sept date it was for a big company that was in town for their conference, but don’t quote me.
