Why hate eisner?

Oh my people, this is really simple. Ron Miller in the 80s was CEO and President. However, when he was booted, Eisner came in as CEO and Chairman of the Board while Frank Wells became COO and President. Eisner NEVER was President of the company. NEVER, not even for one second. He was stripped of his Chairmanship later in his tenure and George Mitchell became Chairman of the Board.

This was in the early to mid-90's, some time after Wells' death and before Ovitz joined the company I believe. It was for a very short period of time, so the annual stock reports of the time might not even have listed it. But if you can locate publications from that period (i.e. business magazines, etc) you'll find mention of it because a big deal was made out of it at the time. There was much concern that he was taking on too much. It was finally at the Board's insistence that they had someone else step in and hold the President title. But yes, for a period, Michael Eisner held the concurrent titles of Chairman, President and CEO.
