I actually like the Goofy mascot suit they've always used and I'm not saying they should change it I just have always wondered why they never did. Most of the "main" characters you see in the park (basically the fab five minus pluto- so I guess this same question applies to him, but anyways, I digress) have seen some pretty drastic costume changes throughout the years in terms of their mascot heads. I think I can speak for everyone when I say the characters always had a certain charm to them although they never really looked like the actual cartoons (the earlier versions at least). Over time Disney has updated these costumes, with the current version of Donald/Daisy being introduced around the late 90s I believe and more recently Mickey, Minnie, Clarabelle and even Horace receiving MAJOR redesigns a year or two ago that make them look more like the characters they are portraying. Even smaller characters like Chip and Dale have seen slight tweaks over time and yet Goofy has looked the same since the 1970s. It seems like he's the only character whos appearance as hardly changed and that always struck me as odd considering he's a pretty major character.
