Why does typhoon lagoon close in November?

In November it will be our 3rd trip to Disney. We always around that time as the parks are less busy (before thanksgiving) and it is not so hot. But each time we have gone Typhoon Lagoon was closed and the only water park that was open was Blizzard beach, can anyone explain why this is?

Annual Refurbishment.

They close TL first, then do BB later.

This year they are going to reahb BB first. You'll get to try the other park. Rumor is they may be adding to TL.

It would be great to see Typhoon Lagoon get some new rides. It always helps to make it larger for a greater capacity. When I went in August, both water parks were closed due to capacity.
