Alright, I have to ask this question:
<O:p
Why Disney? More specifically, why Disney Theme Parks? What is your inherent interest, and why then have you joined this online community? <O:p</O:p
<O:p
While I realize this question may carry the sentiment of a "Thank you Captain Obvious" response, and it may not be the most interesting thread, I am in the midst of writing a research paper that will probably be around 25 pages in length, and your responses are essential for primary source arguments. The overall theme is assigned to be centered around subcultures and subcultural theory, and I chose online Disney theme park internet sites, most specifically this one, because as a member, this topic really interests me. I didn't want to write another paper on the Mods, Rockers, or Punk... Don't worry about your responses...remember I'm biased toward your side, and will keep all responses in a positive light. <O:p</O:p

Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated!
(If for some reason this is a topic from an earlier post...you have my sincere apologies)

Ok Disneys the best its magical because of themes, I go on these forums to remind me of Disney and talk about trips and updates ok, plus its got loads of pictures to look at not to mention ive been going to Disney my whole life AND IT NEVER GETS OLD!!! My dad used to work for Disney when I lived in Florida we got in for FREE and we went amillion times and it never gets boring! Disneys a complete mastermind to create something that would never get boring. I have a question for you why would you make a topic like this its common sence.

Why do I love WDW?
Because it never lets met down.
From my first trip through my last I have felt special every time I go there.
Every trip brings some fresh and new experience, while at the same time there is a familiarity, a hominess, that feels so right. It's a delicate balance and Disney does it perfectly!

Why this site?
I first came here after seeing it mentioned in the "Unofficial Guide". I liked it right away, because it was just full of up-to-date information, great trip reports and lots of interesting points of view on many topics.
After becoming a member, I found out that WDWMAGIC is so much more than I even suspected. It draws the nicest people to its forums. I have made friends here that will be special to me forever. I will always be grateful for that.

Man I love Disney for various reasons. The main one is its nice to escape the harsh truths of reality and spend a day in a Magical Kingdom or learning cultural stuff or how things work around you or escaping in a safari in central florida or going to a haunted hotel. Its an escape that you realy only feel at disney. They put so much emphasis on detail to make you feel that your actualy looking at pirates or your actualy on a mission to mars.Is this details in which i love that makes me adore Disney. Not to mention the memories this expriences bring.I can still remeber flying from new york to florida to visit disney when i was five and it was one of the best feelings. And i can still remember traveling from miami to orlando in a Big van with fmaily all excited to going to disney. We weren't even at disney yet and you still get these precious family moments.Or seeing my cousins that had just came from colombia seeing their dream come true by goign to disney was soem what of an experience.Especialy when we left and my uncle said in spanish now don't ask for anything more i made your dream come true ( even though it was his dream too lol). The point is you realy can only get these expereinces at disney not Universal(which i love) or other theme parks it seems that disney makes their best efforts on detail and firworks and shows that make u feel liek these people actualy care.I think when a company is started with a mind like Walt Disneys the magic is bound to last forever.

Why i chooose to read thse columns cause i wana know whats new at disney parks so i can plan my next visit !!!

There are loads of reasons why Disney is special to me even though I've only been once! I think I associate Disney with my late grandma and how it was only through her passing that I got to experience this wonderful place as she left us an inheritance and wanted us to go to Disny because I had talked of it since I was a little girl. I think the joy and kindness and fun of WDW reflects my grans heart (yes I know it sounds cheesy!). I can't wait to go again this year and remember the wonderful woman who introduced me to disney.

Not only is it the relation to my gran that I love disney but when you get there your life changes whilst your there-all your troubles fade away and as you stroll up main street usa or around the world showcase you are completely taken in by it. The attention to detail found in no other park is here and the magic just takes you!

No, that is not cheesy at all. It is very sweet and straight from the heart. I really liked your post.
