Why can't you catch a bus from the Parks to Disney Springs?

Ran into this problem a couple months ago while staying at the Best Western near DS. I'm an AP but didn't want to drive (drinking at Epcot). We took the morning shuttle from the hotel to the park, then ran into the issue of not having a shuttle back to DS. Ended up hoping on the first Hotel bus shuttle, I think for All Stars, then took one to DS from there. Kind of an extra step, but got us where we needed to.

Didn't the Best Western hotel run a shuttle in the evening too?

Unfortuantly that is a situaltion where it is your hotel choice that is the problem, not the Disney buses. Disney have no obligation to get you back to the Best Western and indeed that is one of the reasons there are no buses to the parks from Disney Springs.

I believe it did, but only once or twice at night, not complete flexibility and I like to be in the park as long as I please without feeling forced to leave. I enjoy staying at the hotels near DS more than the 'Disney' hotels, simply for the ease of walking to DS. The tradeoff, I suppose.
