Why are my posts not showing up?

I have tried updating my TR, but it didn't show up, it redirected me to the actual forum. So I reposted and it said I made a duplicate post, but again, it did NOT show up? Whats going on?

Hmmm...anyone? Now when I post anything with pictures it says it has to be overlooked by a moderator? And then they never show up? Whats going on? I can't update my TR because my post won't go through?

The administrator will have to give you the exact answer. Your posts are being treated as spam by the filter.

Are your photos hosted on a commercial website? That is sometimes a problem. I've also noticed that they are quite large, as is your text. It might be causing problems with the bandwidth.

Again, I'm not sure that is the issue.

You’re not alone. I’m also a new member and had 2 of 5 posts directed to the monitor. I did refer to another Disney info (don’t want to use the next appropriate internet word, thinking it might trigger this post to be monitored). Guess we'll learn the rules as we go.

We use an automated spam filter that reads through a post, and if it suspects it's spam it places it into a queue to be manually checked. It doesn't often get it wrong, but sometimes it does mistake a genuine post with a spam post. Once I get a chance to go through the queue they are approved.

I don't believe you have anything outstanding that is not visible, can you let me know if you do?

I don't see any of your posts in the queue for moderation. Let me know if you are still having problems. Thanks

Both of the posts in question are now showing. Am I correct in guessing that reference to a site triggers the filter? Totally understandable …….. good first line of defense against spam.

Hello, I am currently having a little trouble of my own. I've tried posting 4 other pictures to the forums and keep getting the message that a moderator needs to review. Could you please check to see if my posts were sent to a spam queue as well? Thanks :D

I see a link to a commercial photo sharing site, which, along with your low post count, is probably triggering the spam filter.

I just took a look as "just a guest" and saw some beautiful photos.

It's a bit more complicated than that - I don't want to go into full details because it gives spammers useful info on defeating the system. Your posts will get cleared though, so please do carry on posting and all should be well. Let me know if you have any problems.

I'm having trouble with some of my pictures disappearing. They show up, but when I check they are gone. Any help you can give me? I use photobucket.

You need to make sure that sharing is enabled in Photobucket.

Can you give me a specific example?
I posted a picture of the red velvet cream cheese cupcake. It showed up and then disappeared. So I edited and reposted it. Then it disappeared again so I edited again and reposted it. Right now the picture is still there.

[noparse]Original post that disappeared:

Repost of picture that shows up:

It appears that you might have done some rearranging of your photos within Photobucket which caused the photo not to show up after the original post. Reposting of it's new location within Photobucket caused it show back up.

Just my hypothesis.
