Who's Ready for Wreck-It Ralph

I saw the advanced showing at Downtown Disney last weekend and it was really good!

Wow, glad to hear that! I'm really looking forward to it!

Edited to add: The reviews for "Ralph" are starting to come in, and they're very positive! Variety and Hollywood Reporter RAVED about it! And what's even nicer - there's a hand-drawn short appearing with "Ralph" called "Paperman" that's getting raves too. Nice to see Walt Disney Animation working with classic 2D techniques again!

Paperman was outstanding. I wish the cinema-going experience would return to the form where ALL features are preceded by an animated short. If even half of them were hand-drawn, I would be a happy camper.

We too saw Wreck-It Ralph on opening day. It had all the charm, heart and polish one could want from a Disney film. I think they also handled the video game nostalgia really well without using it so much that it became a distraction. It'll definitely be a DVD purchase for us, and we may see it again in the cinema before then.

Watch Lavatory Love Story. I'm sure you can find it on YouTube. It's a similar concept and you'll probably like it even more.
I also recommend Lavatory Love Story. It has a lot of heart. It's seriously endearing. For anyone who saw Wreck-It Ralph and loved the short preceding the film, you owe it to yourself to watch it. It has a very similar plot to Paperman, and you'll leave the viewing feeling awesome.

Like Melissa said, it's easily found on YouTube. If animated shorts interest you, it's well worth your time. If you like that, I have plenty more recommendations where that came from. Just shoot me a PM.

I just got back from seeing this, and it was outstanding! The short movie before it was great, and I loved the video game references, and the movie was much better than I honestly expected! I would definitely recommend it. . Now I just hope they don't make an unnecessary sequel, like cars 2
