we leave in 24 days and I don't want to go anywhere or do anything for fear of one of the kids getting hurt. Of course I am not allowing myself to be so neurotic but I want to..lol. I also have this fear of not making it TO Disney.. ahhh..I swear this last 3 weeks is the absolute worst!!!

I want to put us all in a Disney Bubble for the next 25 days ( 24 til we leave then the travel day..lol)

Yeah. I think about something going wrong too. Cant think that way though. I work in a hospital so getting sick is a real hazard. hahah. I try not to visit the ER the week before any trip. I send someone else. Or try and talk someone else in going for me.

Heck I called my mom ( she's almost 70) as I do every day to check on her and she didn't answer..so of course my mind goes to "I hope she's ok Disney is just 4 weeks away for her! Then I called her cell and she is fine..just wasnt home..LOL

For sure! I'm a nanny and every time a kid sneezes, coughs, wheezes, even looks at me funny, I douse myself in hand sanitizer and say a prayer for not getting sick!!!! If i could be hermetically sealed...i would be.

Thats a great idea! I am taking my vitamins faithfully, back on south beach, drinking an insane amount of water (i find this helps prevent me from getting sick), but I think I should start the C! :)

OH MY GOSH I thought I was CRAZY!

My fear is the boys getting sick! We're not going ANYWHERE these next 10 days! Im not even joking. I will get some basic grocery necessities for next week, on Sat. But the kids will stay home.

The dogs go and get groomed next Wednesday, and MIL is cutting my husband and oldest DS's hair and thats IT! lol

We're doing K12 for school this year, so no fear of the germ-y kiddos! LMAO

I wish.. we have a packed week ( including 2 lake days) then next week the dentist, and then soccer and dance begin. Gymnastics is on going for Taejan.. Declan has a sleepover tonight..so hoping he comes back in one piece.. 4 10 year old boys...it's iffy if he will be intact when he returns..LOL

I am the same way about germs. I get so paranoid about this every time we are getting ready to go.

But we've had a couple incidents with sickness while at Disney. Head colds, blister problems, stomach issues because of "vacation eating", etc. So now I just make sure to always pack a small array of medical stuff for every trip. I take a little first aid kit with band-aids, blister blockers, Advil, sinus/cold meds, stomach meds, etc. because its easier to treat the symptoms when they first appear. Plus having this packed so you don't have to search for a nearby pharmacy is nice when you don't feel good.

Sometime the stress of travel or being on planes and such makes it easy to catch something - but if you're prepared in advanced it makes the whole ordeal that much easier to handle.

Did you see the kit I have packed?? I think I can cure anything but flesh eating bacteria with it..LOL.. Germs worry me less than kids getting hurt at this point. Last year all 4 of mine had an icky day on the trip.. but mostly from just being overheated and run down!

LOL...flesh eating bacteria...

Yes, I come super prepared also... My husband makes fun of me, until he needs something!!

And I agree about the injury thing. No basketball, football, running with scissors, etc. in my house for a week before our trips! I don't even like to drive to work...

This must be more of "mom thing", this Disney bubble. If my daughter doesn't have a body part missing or anything short of alien abduction, I'm good to go. I don't think I've ever worried about getting to Disney, just worry when I'll get to go next!

We're not so much in a bubble about the kids because our boys seem impervious to damage. I just worry about hurricanes, delayed flights, and making sure there is enough $$$ for spending money. The only time I relax is when were on the plane, in the air headed to FLA.

If I do worry about anything, it's stuff like this. Highway accidents because those are things (other people) that I don't have much control over. It's that thing that you don't expect that sneaks up and bites you.
