It is definitely worth it. I am going to it tonight. The parade, the fireworks the character interaction never mind trick or treating. Where else as an adult do you get to go trick or treating and not be looked at like you are fresh out of the looney bin
A little island called Guernsey, just west of France..They say you can't tell which residents are dressed up,and which aren't..Whooooo....Scary eh!..:jawdrop:....Waiting for the attack on my castle..

I think the headless horseman's ride is probably my favorite part. The lights dim and all you can hear is the galloping coming closer and closer. It really sets the tone. :)

My family and I attended our first party last Friday and it was excellent.

The trick or treat candy collection was mad but fantastic. We visited every location and filled our backs quickly. The candy lines were quite long at times but these moved very quickly and it was all part of the fun.

We managed to get on every ride and attraction with no wait time and it was great being one of the last in the park.

Hallowishes was really good (especially the end) and although the parade was good I did prefer the Christmas version.

Definitely recommend paying the extra to attend!

Yesss! Definitely worth it! It gets you in the best Halloween mood. We love people watching to see all the costumes. Some are quite elaborate. We also love the trick or treating! We try to take each other's chocolate away from each other:rolleyes: You have to go Hatter!! Your DS will love it and so will Mrs. Hatter!

We went last year and then back in 2007. We think it is worth going - at least once. I personally would skip the treating. Its only okay candy and it sucks up a lot of time. I prefer the character interactions and we did stand in line to get a picture with all the 7 dwarfs which was awesome!! I would have preferred to do more of the other events then the trick or treating. So next time we go, we will skip the treating. And buy the candy we really want from the candy store. :)

Well Hatter, I can tell you officially after this Friday, but aside from the opinions on here...I was sold on trying it for a number of reasons.

1. We love Halloween. On the first official day of fall, I start playing Halloween music and let the kids start watching things like The Great Pumpkin. On October 1st, I decorate my yard...not nearly as elaborate as my Christmas and Hanukkah décor, but it's pretty bold...huge inflatable cat, graveyard, pumpkin patch, flying ghost, hanging skeleton, webs with faux spiders, shrub shakers, black light, and string + rope lights. By mid month- we'll go to a pumpkin patch, even if it's 90 degrees out and usually attend at least one adult Halloween party.
2. I love costumes so much that I usually buy them no later than August...so to have an event where we can dress up...even if it's a conceptual costume...= high marks in my book.
3. The party isn't your every day experience...so, why not try something- at least once - that you can't get every day of the year?
4. The music for the parade and the fireworks is pretty awesome...better than the MVMCP/holiday stuff IMO.
5. Special characters and trick or treating also sounds very fun.

Any Disney nut such as ourselves should do whatever they can to get at least one visit to MNSSHP under their belt. It really is a blast for adults and kids alike. It really feels different than a normal night at MK. The music, the candy, the costumes,... and thats just the start of it. You gotta try it!

I was wondering about that, what type of candy do they give out? Is it crummy pez candy or good stuff like snickers, Reese's, Hershey's?
