can't believe it... twice in a year!

3.18 to 3.25.13 @ the Swan. We were really looking to stay at our normal resort, the BC.... but man oh man, the difference in price was staggering. Staying at the SWAN over the BC saved me a total of 2300 dollars.

I am so jacked!
Nice one.Yeh it pays to shop around but that's one helluva saving.:)

and we're traveling with another couple... so roughnecking it in one room. Trying to keep the second trip as cheap as possible, we already AP's so tickets are all set and we scored the lowest airfare I've ever had out of logan... 189 bucks pp rountrip direct at good times.

Sweet!! Logan has actually looked like a place to fly from with good prices. Scored 180 pp out of Logan for our Dec. trip.

I'm lucky though... I use YAPTA.com

my flight went from 235 on Friday, to 189 the following Monday (when I booked and cheapest day to buy tix online) to 265 that Wednesday

Sweet. This is the second year in a row that we've gone twice. Of course it's because we "have" to. The March trip is for cheer, and who doesn't want to do Disney since you're gonna be there anyways? The September trip is to celebrate our anniversary.

I did twice in 2011 ..August with DD15 and December with DD19. My excuse was so that I took them both on their own. It was supposed to be one in 2011 and the other 2012 instead I squeezed them in in one year. Then tricked my husband into our trip in sept. I am already planning a trip in may 2013.

Yippee for 2 in one year!! I went in Jan, April and June this year and I'm going back Dec 28 staying through New Years. That last trip counts as both 2012 and 2013 right?! right?

Swan/Dolphin is really very nice. I've stayed there multiple times.

But, just so you aren't surprised, they charge a resort fee on top of room & tax. If you have a car, they'll charge you for valet or for self-park. You still end up saving a bunch, but some folks get real mad about the nickel and diming, especially if they didn't know it was coming.

If you guys will be doing sit-down meals and anyone has an AP, get the TiW. With four adults, it will pay for itself on the second meal. :)

Enjoy!!!

I'm aware of the 14 dollar a day resort fee, doesn't bother me as this is the norm for any resort outside of Disney. I'm also aware of the reality well have to take a limo, which is still only like 28 a person roundtrip.

I couldn't believe the difference between the two resorts, I may never stay at the BC again. As a new englander the theme is boring, but that's because I visit the vineyard yearly. I always thought the money was worth it because of the access to Epcot and DHS.

I'm so pumped, you have no idea.

I'm not sure if TIW is worth it for us, we passed on it during our disneymoon in July. We usually split meals, my wife is a bird. At home we throw down serious meals but on vacation we just don't eat that much. I only had two dole whip floats in 11 days!

I have a feeling this trip will be all QS, maybe one TS meal. The couple we are traveling with is a little light in the wallet.

Lucky you! I got a one way out of logan for $110 and the last leg - well we are still searching! I was there this past March and wanted to go again. Thanksgiving week kids only miss 2 1/2 days of school and all the Christmas stuff will be up....eeks hope we can get home!

That's awesome!! :)

My Mom owns a timeshare with Starwood and she can use the points she earns to stay at the Swan and Dolphin. We have our timeshare every other year so on the off years, we stay on property but when she has enough points, we're going to give the Swalphin a try. The location can't be beat and I've heard the properties are really nice. No Disney themeing but for the savings, I'm sure I can live without that lol

but the beach club isn't a disney theme... to me the only disney theme is the art of animation, everything else is a fantasy that isn't necessarily Disney

True. There are hidden Mickey's here and there at the other resorts. And Pop, Movies and Music have some Disney themeing in the lobbies and throughout the property (I remember a giant Dalmation at movies from when we stayed in November)
