Reading through these replies makes me that much happier my family is only an hour away. We were last at WDW on November 21st and won't be back until December 13th and I'm already starting to get the blues. Not going this past weekend or this weekend feels out of the ordinary.

I seriously don't know what I'd do if we couldn't go to Disney as much as we do. What's weird is that as frequently as we go, I still can't sleep well the night before because I'm so excited lol!

I feel you!! I'm still currently in a Disney funk because I do not have a trip planned at the moment! There's just nothing like being immersed in that magical bubble. The real world is harsh! Coming on the forums is still bittersweet to me, I miss it sooooo much!! I need to stay up to date and see what I'm missing out on!!

AHHHHHHHHHH so lucky :) Imagine I'm really far away lol
But at least I leave near Paris (in Normandy) so I can go to Disneyland Paris (sooooo different from WDW) to wait to go maybe in a year or two in WDW

This year has been very difficult. I was sick at WDW and had to be rushed to the hospital and admitted. I felt sad I wasn't able to do everything I had hoped to do this trip. Our flight home was delayed 3 hours. The day after getting home I got strep throat and a bad ear ache. And yesterday my husband was told he has to be tested for cancer.
We haven't been home 2 weeks yet.
So yes I very much miss Disney!

My family and I always go through serious depression when we start heading back to MCO to fly home. I always dread going back to the same old routine again. Also, seeing people arriving at MCO who are just starting their WDW trip (you can tell because they usually have Disney stuff on them) while you are leaving really bums us out. Of course, it's always a great feeling when you're the ones arriving and you see others leaving, at the airport or the resort. We literally start planning our next trip within 2 weeks after coming home. One thing we also do is watch a bunch of youtube videos of walkthroughs and rides and also shows like Behind the Scenes:Walt Disney World that they show on Travel Channel and Destination America from time to time (we save them on our DVR). There should probably be a clinical term for this.
PDWD-post disney world depression.

The worst ride on our trip is always the monorail at MCO taking us to our departing flight.

Yep! Haven't paid off my last trip from 3 weeks ago and already looking at 180 days out for Memorial Day week by already making ADRs.

Ugh, going through it now :( I came back around November 9th and I'm still missing every little thing, the heat, the walking, the smells etc. I always go through this and it never get easier. The worst is getting back to the airport and seeing everyone boarding to their flight to WDW. I get so sad and jealous lol.

It passed so quickly, it is hard to come back to reality. What do you do to help it? :(
People who are going to stay, please try to enjoy every second of it! ( I thought I did lol)

I do and what I do to cope is come over here, talk about the trip over and over and check out podcasts about Disney or the Orlando area attractions weekly.
It helps.

I still get Post Disney Depression when ever I remember my experience meeting Marie twice during my trip. But meeting her the first time was extra special since she acted very energetic that day and started becoming very flattered and bashful around me when I told her that I was looking all over WDW for her. I remember hearing her meow at me when I got up close to her and after we posed and got two photos taken. I hugged her and heard her say "Aww" to me as a hugged her one last time that day. When I returned to All Star Sports Resort that same day. I cried myself to sleep because of how happy I was meeting her and knowing my third visit was almost over and won't be back for another few years. At least until I take the Disney College Program. I still remember my final encounter with her on our final day and I told her I was leaving and she made a tear rolling down her eyes gesture.

:inlove:I have an emotional connection with Disney character but this takes the cake. If I return to WDW to take the Disney College Program I seriously hope Marie is still meetable and won't get retired like other Disney characters in the past or don't came out very often like the other characters used to. Because Marie is one of those characters that need to stay at WDW for other guests to experience and Marie is one of the only cat characters to meet at any Disney Park. Please tell me I'm not the only person who gets emotional when you meet a certain character. Because Marie is one of those character that gives the best interactions and is alot of fun to hang around with.

Me, myself and I. We went in October and still looking at pictures. Some that went with us are going back in a few days and then back again next April. They don't suffer from it. Lol

And I have been listening to the music from the area loops at AK and Epcot.

Maybe I'm a minority, but I just got back 4 days ago from a 13 days (land/sea) vacation and I have to tell you I feel so good to be back home. I do miss the cruise part of it, but not the park and the resort.

We started planning the day we got back from our last trip.. there was 18 months between trips.. and now.. I know that I need to leave Disney alone.. too many times.. three trips in FIVE Years.. this last trip was great but the ultimate HIGH MAGIC just wasn't there.. both my wife and my self said so.. about an 8 and a half out of 10.. while we are used to hitting 11's on a trip.. once I finish wrapping up here on the site this week or next .. I am going to put it ALL AWAY for a while.. the site included.. I know it will be a MINIMUM of two years but much closer to 28 months.. or more.. Its time to walk a way a bit and let the magic grow back in me..

I know that feeling all to well! Man, it is tough. Some of my strategies 1) start planning the next trip; 2) post on message boards; 3) listen to podcasts (there are plenty); 4) work on scrap book from last trip; and 5) review scrap books / photos from all your previous trips. If all of that doesn't work, do something crazy like I did, start your on blog so you have an excuse to study and write about all things Disney!

I make sure to wipe this forum from my mind when I come back, the last thing I want to do is make the withdrawal worse.

*Scratches arm* Speaking of withdrawals, anyone have any castles? *twitch*

Fortunately for me I live in South Florida so I'm a 3 and a half to 4 hour drive away from Orlando. Unfortunately, I'm a 3 and a half to 4 hour drive away from Orlando so I have to be a responsible adult and not spend all my money going back multiple times a year. The temptations are real O_O
