The word "stalker" was used in an appropriate context. While it's most likely the OP meant well, who really knows? S/he could be some rabid fan who is starting to get obsessed with the actress, and that's scary. But you know what else it is? Something that really happens in our world today.

And if you think that is "mean, rude, discriminatory, disrespectful, and impolite", and something to get your knickers in a twist about, you mustn't get out much. There are MUCH bigger things to worry about than if someone on the internet says "stalker alert", okay.
