Who Pays for Your Trips to Disney?

Me and my husband pay (and how...I just paid off our DCL cruise :,( ). Over a decade ago when we were still in college our parents paid for parts of our trips when we went with our families. My in laws are DVC members so they would pay for lodging and a bunch of other stuff; when we went with my parents they'd pay for the resort and most food. I think once I turned 18 or so I always had to pay for my own park passes though when going with either family. In general our parents are really generous on vacations and I don't doubt that if we were to travel with either of them to WDW again they'd still pay the bulk of it. I have periodically taken my younger sister with me since I became an adult and I would usually pay for everything except some food and her park tickets, since she was still a student.

DH feeds my addiction. We bought DVC 10 years ago with extra money we made off the sale of our house. My in laws used to come with us every other year. We would use our points for the room and pay for their park tickets. We pay our credit card bill in full every month.

Yes
My girlfriend's dad is a DVC member so on our past two trips, he let us use points for the resorts. My gf and I spilt everything else: park tickets, plane tickets, and everything else. When I was a kid, my parents would pay.

Sometimes I pay, sometimes my wife pays. Of course that is all sort of an illusion as it is really household money being spent.

We finance for no more than 90 days whatever trip components we charge on the credit cards. We initiate no new trips if there are any credit card balances.

"I" usually have to cover the cost of upgraded airline seats. ...kids still ride coach lol

Do you pay a couple months of CC interest in that case?

for one .. OUR MONEY IS OUR MONEY.. it all goes into the same pot.. and pays the bills ..that being said, for the past 30 plus years , my wife and I have paid for the four of us.. but since the year 2002.. the two children kicked in... and 4 years ago.. my wife and I went alone.. and just a year ago.. we all went.. three couples but we all paid our own ways.. and we will again do so at Christmas time this year..

I pay for me and my entire family. This is technically my thing, so the trips are paid entirely by money I've earned.

I went once with my parents as a 7 year old. Parents paid for everything. My in-laws have been known to give the kids some money for souvenirs and the wife and I the same. As for our trips, my wife and I have separate accounts but like all of our bills, we both help pay for the trip. I make the deposit, figure out what we need to pay minimum every two weeks. Wife pays what she feels she can and I round out the rest of the payment at or above what the payment schedule should be. I know it's further fleecing of us by Disney, but we always stay on site and always do the DDP. It's just a matter of convenience and I like the full escape from reality :). I also like having everything paid for before we go. Once we are there, anything billed to the room is covered by me and paid off prior to departure. She pays for a fair amount of the souvenirs, I handle some souvenirs and all of the meal tips.

Depends on who's going! When it's the immediate family (both my kids are adults & newly married) we pay for the lodging, the big rental car & most meals. The two CMs in the family gets those without annual passes into the parks. The kids buy their own plane tickets & souvenirs.

I took my Mom along once and we paid for everything except her plane ticket. Again the CM was there to get her into the parks.

Since my first trip wasn't until I was 35 years old. I have always paid for my own and my families trip. I even brought my entire family, my daughters, their husbands, and their children on my nickel one time. When I owned my Residential Care Home I used to escort people with disabilities to WDW. I did that about three times. They paid my way, not a profit just a cost reimbursement. They enjoyed it and so did I. Otherwise they never would have been able to go. It was usually with more then one at a time, but, I did have this one gentleman that had CP. He loved the place and I took him on a solo road trip to WDW from Vermont. We had a wonderful time. He also went on the group trips with others.

I pay for my hotel and flights, my family helps me out with tickets whilst I'm doing my masters degree. We take it in turns for food etc.

When you go to Disney, do you pay for your entire party? Are you a family so your SO technically pays as well? Do mom and day pay? Grandpa and Grandma?

Do you pay for tickets and someone else buys food?

I know big families go together frequently, so wonder if you separate everything or someone just bites the bullet and pays for grandma, grandpa, cousin, in-laws, etc.

Do you normally charge everything to a credit card and pay it off afterward, charge it and carry a balance, or use cash?

Seeing as I refuse to go with my dad I would pay.
If my mom went, I would pay.
I would not go with my father in law...he likes to cut corners and would never want to stay on site...I would pay
Mother in law...NEVER would I EVER go with her. I would pay.

Friends? I would pay for my family.

So in other words, no free trips for me and my family.

The first time I went I was 17 and I went w some organization that helps at risk and runaway kids (I was in foster care at the time) and it was free some anonymous sponsor paid for all of it. I went again a few months ago w my boyfriend for my 20th birthday and we spilt everything but paid for our own souvenirs!
