I don't know about evenyone here, but I really miss Delta Dreamflight aka Take Flight. It was located where Buzz is now in Tomorrowland. It was so nice just to get one and ride around on the hot day, kinda like the peoplemover, or TTA

Digital Disney has video. http://198.65.141.39/ It was the 1st ride I ever rode at MK, and it was unlike anything I had ever seen, so it'll always be a fond memory for me.

Cheers

I miss it....

Buzz was okay for about 10 minutes I guess - now it's just an attraction that has far longer a line than it's worth.

I'll take Dreamflight any day! :)

Dreamflight stunk compared to the original "If you had wings." That was a neat ride with cool music and believe it or not, the same track that still exists today. I am glad they changed Dreamflight to Buzz Lightyear, much better ride. I wonder how that pavilion would be today if Eastern never went under (that was the end of If You had wings).

I think it's great that we started this thread about the late, unsung hit!

We're gonna take you flying
And there'll be no relying
This Dreamflight's bound for non-stop fantasy...
And before this flight is through
You'll be soarin't the skies so blue...
While trying to help to make these dreams come true!

UP...and DOWN around and around
What a thrill doing stunts in the skies!

Once you've taken a dreamflight,
The fantasy flight of your life.
Once you've taken a dreamflight,
The earth's an inspiring sight.

There's adventure,
There is romance,
Your passport to dreams old and knew.

Once you've taken a dreamflight,
The fantasy flight of your life.
Once you've taken a dreamflight,
The earth's an inspiring sight!!!

I do miss this attraction with all of my heart. The songs, quality (though not as much as IFYW), and especially essence...boy nostalgia's really kickin' in!

I always get misty-eyed remembering the Japan scene especially...and those late afternoons we went in to ride it. Closed the same year Tropical Serenade got killed...'lost two great friends in the same months...

I loved all of Dreamflight. Oh, gawrsh...let's just hope they reuse the songs if they do an air pavilion at EPCOT...or they should release them on some sort of History of MK...*sigh*

Long live Dreamflight!

"If you had wings" is and will always be one of my favorite attractions. Dreamflight was good too. I agree with another comment... Buzz is fun a few times round, but the others were enduring.

While I enjoyed "If You Had Wings", I think Buzz is a better attraction, and far better suited to Tomorrowland. (Wings was essentially a smaller version of an Epcot pavilion ride, and was past its prime.)

When I visited WDW two years ago, my wife agreed to watch the kids while I went to E-Ride night with my brother and father. We went on Buzz repeatedly (with no wait), and it was like it was 1978 again! We each rode in our own car, and learned where the best targets were (a CM would give the loser of the previous game a hint for the next ride). By the end, we were very near the max score. Needless to say, there was TONS of re-rideability for us. It was a complete blast (no pun intended) and a major, fun addition to our trip.

I LOVED Dreamflight...haven't thought about it in a long time. (I'm VERY prone to motion sickness, so Buzz Lightyear is definitely out for me.)

Know what else I miss (off topic, I guess, but...)? World of Motion at EPCOT - it had that same kind of charm for me.

Dreamflight is one of my childhood memories of WDW. I love the music! Does anyone know where I could get music from it. I miss walking into the building and it looked like you were in an airport terminal and then you walked onto an airplane. The ride was so refreshing. I love Buzz as well, but Dreamflight (TakeFight) will always be in my heart. :)

I remember "discovering" Dreamflight when I was younger. There was never anyone on it, so I thought it was my own little secret. I love buzz lightyear, though!

I definently miss Dreamflight and it's no wait/cool off/awesomeness!! Buzz is a fun ride, but Dreamflight has the old World of Motion/Horizons feel to it.

For all you "If You Had Wings" fans out there, go to a site called "Widen Your World." They have any info that you could possibly want about the ride on there.
