I just picked this up the other day and had no idea it was so expensive!!! HOLY COW!!! It better be worth it. I have only been to DIsney Quest 2 times so I am hoping to screw around in there a lot more. Plus I have never been in Pleasure Island so I guess now I can use that more often but I mainly got it for the water parks. Seeing that we are moving within 10 minutes of the resort this should come in a lot more handy then the regular annual pass.

We have the regular annual pass, I never thought that the extra expense was worth it, even with my DVC member discount.

I almost upgraded to premium this year, but stuck with the regular. I never have enough time to hit the water parks, couldn't give less of a hoot about DissneyQuest. Adventurers club is my only PI vice, and I can get by with one visit per trip, so it didn't make financial sense to me.

My DH and I have the PAP. We enjoy it very much, and I think its worth it. Since it is usually hot here in Florida for most of the year, it is nice to know that you can go to the water parks whenever you want. Even if it is for a few hours, just to cool off and relax. Especially if you live close by, I wish I did. The same with DQ. If you are looking to do something on a weekend or whenever, go get something to eat at DTD and then go play at DQ.

We have PAPs mainly for the water parks and the Adventurer's Club. We live about 90 minutes away and we get our dollar's worth. I'd recommend it if you plan on hitting the water parks more than 2 or 3 times per year, or if you want to imbibe at the AC from time to time. :animwink:

We have the PAP and have really used it! Started out with the standard pass, but quickly upgraded when we saw how much we ended up visiting.

Of course, Disney has more than made up the free gate fees on all of the "stuff" we drag home from each visit! Love it!!!

We have done the math a few times and the PAP never came in as a value for us. We have the Fl resident seasonal AP's and my wife and I have an AP to PI.

We have them. Assuming regular pricing per visit to parks/downtown disney/water parks I've probably racked up about $10,000 or more this year

I never goto the waterparks so the upgrade is not worth it for me. If I stayed in the world for a week or so each trip then i think for me it would be worth it. But since i do about 5 days it just won't work out.

We have ha the premium annual pass for 3 years now. It is the best ticket we have ever purchased. I do agree with the above posts that it is only worth it if you go several times a year and like the water parks.

It is indeed the best investment if you are close. We try to get to the parks at least twice a month if not more, and not having to pay the parking fee is a wonderful thing!

As with any type of ticket upgrade, it's only worth it provided you utilize the benefits it offers. With the PAP, if you visit a water park twice and DQ once, you're already close to the break even point. Once you add the PI clubs and any other visits to TL, BB or DQ, then it's all on the plus side for you. It won't take much for you to get more than your money's worth from it.

Have fun!

You can add me to the "not quite the right value for me" category. I have a regular AP and also bought the Pleasure Island AP. I'm not a water park person, and I have two DQ tickets hanging around in my drawer for when I eventually get around to going.
The ~$60 extra for the PI AP was much more worth it than the ~$140 more for the Premium AP.
If I ever decide to go to a water park, I'll just buy a 1-day ticket using my AP's $4 discount.

My one wish is for Disney to offer the AP and PI AP as a single ticket. I have two tickets and have to keep them straight as to which is which. Having both on a single ticket would be easier.
You could even set the APs up like the MYW tickets: Start with a basic Annual Pass. Want to add just Pleasure Island? Add $60. Add just DQ? $95 more. Just water parks? Add $107.
Add them all to make it a Premium AP? Add $140.

We have the PAP again now. We choose the PAP over the regular, simply for the waterparks. This is our 2nd PAP out of the last 4 years (1 one with regular, 1 without:eek:) and we have been to DisneyQuest once and never to PI.

Hopefully we will get to PI on one of our trips planned next year, as we will have lots of babysitters along:)

Even living in Canada, we seem to find a way to get our money's worth during our usual 2-3 trips per year.

Going on 4 years of PAP's, we definitely go to the water parks every year in the summer and the parks at least every other month during the year, however my 3 kids don't like Disney Quest.

Two or three times a year? We were thinking more like two or three times a week!! lol
