Who has seen Cirque Du Soleil?

I know this has nothing really to do with the parks but I had to thread it somewhere.
So who has gone to any of the shows? I have been to La Nuba many times in Downtown Disney. This is by far the best one I have ever seen. I have also seen Quidam and Alegria in St Petersburg when it has come. In two weeks I will be going to see Varekai also in St Pete. Although I have seen many others on TV including this one I still can not wait.
And to top it off we got front row seats!!! To be honest I probably would have liked the second section because it mightbe hard on the neck looking up but I WILL BE RIGHT THERE!!! And quote me now, "I will be pulled on stage and my girlfriend will have a clown sit next to her"
So I will post some pics when I come back and we will see what happenes.

I caught Varekai when it was in town earlier this year. Great show, you should definitely enjoy it. There are not too many aerial acts so sitting that close shouldn't be that big a problem. Let us know how it goes.

I went and saw La Nouba a couple years ago. We were 2nd row center and while it was fantasitc, it was a little hard on the neck for the ariel acts. Though the Ariel Ballet in Silk flew literally right over our heads. I found scrunching down and resting the back of your head on the top of the seat helped a little.

Saturday I saw Varekai over in St. Pete. It was really neat how they set it up. The tent is smaller then the theater at WDW, so even though I was all the way in the back there, it wasn't nearly as far from the stage. The seats are quite squished and crowded though. Just an FYI. It was also quite warm in there and I had to take off my jacket and push up my sleeves. The stage is smaller then La Nouba (of course) but there were quite a few really amazing acts nonetheless. They do an intermission during it so you get an hour, a 25 minute break, and another hour.

I love Cirque. You just can't go wrong with seeing their shows. Of the two, La Nouba remains my favorite but Varekai was really great as well.

I've seen La Nouba and Varekai. Love any and all things Cirque. They were both amazing shows. I will be seeing Corteo in April. And am tossing around the idea of heading to Vegas for a few days just to see the four Cirques that are there. Wanna join me Josh?? ;)

Let's see, I've seen La Nouba (of course), Varekai, and 3 of the Las Vegas shows--Mystere, O, and Zumanity. Of those, La Nouba remains my favorite, with Zumanity being my least favorite. In spite of the fact that it's "The Other Side of Cirque du Soleil" (read:Adult), it's really not a very interesting show.

Well, I have seen most of them here in the US, the perm shows as well as the touring shows.

Perm shows La Nouba, Mystere, O, Zoomanity, and the best by far being Ka ( I mean BY FAR)

Touring shows Dralion, Quidom, Verekai...the best being Alegria.

However, the touring shows, while fantastic, just aren't the same as the perm shows in Vegas and Disney.

La Nuba for kids???

I'm thinking of taking my cousins to see this show when we go in April. They'll be 9, 6 and 3 . They like gymnastics ( their mom's a coach) and I just wanted to know if anyone has taken their little ones to see this and if so did they enjoy it / is it worth taking them????

yes yes yes!!! As long as the 3 year old can sit still/pay attention for 90 minutes you'll be fine - it's an AMAZING show for children!!

Oh have fun seeing that!! Tell us about it. :) La Nouba I think is the best Cirque du Soleil shows. I saw it I think when it came out the first months. I was comparing La Nouba with one of the other shows, Wintuk in NYC. But that is nothing compared to La Nouba and La Nouba is better.

My 9 year old nephew - who has the - if he's not doing something every minute of the hour, he's "bored" sydrome...

Sooo before the show started, he was like that - this is boring, I'm bored, bouncing off the seat, just ready to do SOMETHING. Once the show started, he sat there the entire time, with his mouth open and did not move at all - not once! I'm not totally sure he blinked :animwink:

With that said...
He still talks about it today, and that was almost 4 years ago! What does that tell you about it...lol :sohappy:

We saw it this past May - and it's by far the best Cirque we've seen. And we've seen about 5 of them so far. The music is just superior and really does progress the story!

I saw La Nouba a couple years ago, but before that I began collecting the soundtracks. My favorite soundtrack is Saltimbanco, with Drallion closely following.
