Score to both Illuminations and the long gone Tapestry of Nations parade was composed by Gavin Greenaway, who did the music for GLadiator among other movies.

Yes, Refections of Earth, We Go On, Tapestry of Nations and Promise were all composed by Gavin Greenaway. We Go On and Promise are performed by Kellie Coffey (is that the correct spelling). And, off the top of my head, I think the inside cover of my Millennium Celebration CD says that the words for We Go On and Promise were written by Don Dorsey, but I'm not 100% sure.

I need all the various artists there are too. Thank you if you know!

Here's the listing of all the songs that play in the pre-show before Illuminations.

1 Jalan Kopo - Sabah Habas Mustapha
2 Our Life Uttara-Karu
3 Busindre Reel - Hevia
4 Gaviotes - Hevia
5 Tula - Cusco
6 Falling through a Cloud Uttara - Karu
7 Bear - Hedningarna
8 Red Skies Omar Faruk - Tetbilek
9 Texas - Wimme

My favorite track is Busindre Reel it's still the coolest to hear the opening as it echoes through World Showcase http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye6caUf2vZM :sohappy:

See below

Also, as just a tidbit, Hans Zimmer, the composer for the POTC movies is a close friend of Greenaway, and is rumored to have helped him.:D
Yes, I thought Hans Zimmer composed Gladiator. He won a Golden Globe for it.

Hans did the first PotC with Klaus Badelt et al.

7 Bear - Hedningarna

I discovered Uttara-Kuru from this loop. Those two are my favorites! The first one is catchy but HARD to find, though.
That 4th of July night played up to the first minute of The Bear before the opening spiel.

I have always been a bit of a orchestra fan and guru, and I did know that Gavin Greenaway composed RoE, but here's a question that hasn't been asked that I wanted to know. Who PERFORMED the recording of RoE? (aka which symphony orchestra?)

While it true that you could call Greenaway & Zimmer good friends, a better description would master/apprentice. Zimmer has nurtured several absolutely fantastic composers.

Another small bit of info would be that Zimmer had been tapped to produce R.O.E., but passed it off to Greenaway because he was too busy at the time. Lucky break for Greenaway and for us! This score has to be one of my favorites of all time!

Greenaway has also (more recently) composed another score for Disney -- "BraviSEAmo!" at Tokyo DisneySEA.
