Ok. I'm riding this thread drift . . . I'm a HUGE Dr. Who fan. I know new episodes aired on the BBC but I didn't know they were airing here in the states. Is it a local channel or national like BBC America? I keep searching the digital cable and the web but can't find anything.

Also, are they good? I haven't heard any reviews and I'm dieing. I have 25 years worth of Dr. Who VCR tapes rotting in my basement includng the never aired "Shada". I remember the first time I saw the Daleks and how scared I was of them and now they're so dated . . .

The new series is proving a big hit. Although the actor playing the doctor only signed up for one season and is being replaced for the next. The quality of the show is much improved with the added budget and better scripts, though the last one story with the farting aliens did not quite work. The basic story was OK, but the look of the aliens and the who farting thing did not quite work. I'm looking forward to tonight's episode - Daleks

Favourite line was in the first episode of this series when Rose asks why the Doctor has a Northern accent if he is from another planet to which he replies, "Lots of planets have a North"

It was never a show that appealed to me - it seemed to be an utterly depressing topic. But when Rent appeared at my local theatre I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it was.

I'm lucky enough to live about a half hour outside of NYC. So I spend most of my weekends in the city seeing plays and going to museums (im nopt your average high schooler). I've seen RENT 5 times on Broadway. I haven't seen it in a while though becuase I was boycotting while Drew Lachey took the place of my favorite actor, Matt Caplan....but i digress.....yes RENT is fantastic. i highly recomend it to anyone who gets the chance to see it.
