This is the only restaurant that I found it worth getting a headache in!!
The total atmosphere and the races by the children while we twirl our napkins is grand. Have always had a great meal there and intend to have lunch there when I get in this December. I find that it simply sets the tone for the whole vacation. You know it is 'loud' before sitting down because it is open off the lobby of the WL and therefore should not be a surprise.

84 days to VWL.

Love the bug Corrus!!

It gives me a spitting headache... :(

Thats 'cause you're an old crab.

I thought I was the only one.

BTW, Corrus....you're avatar had me swatting at my screen for....oh....about 10 seconds, trying to hit that daggone bug!

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

You have no idea how many times I go to squish that little bug that appears as I scroll and Corrus' post comes into view! :brick:

Well, I for one was surprised by the noise. It was my first time at WL, so I guess I must've been too enamored with the lobby and walking out back to look at the pool area to have noticed it.

Look. It was me, my wife, my parnets, my mother-in-law, my 4 yr old and our 18 month old......we're a pretty loud and fun-loving bunch. But NONE of the adults liked the place.

Maybe we were too tired from the 13 hour, all-night drive to really enjoy it. But, I'll take 50's Primetime over WC any day. Maybe I'm just getting old.:lookaroun

I went there in August and the food was really good. However, my mother, who doesn't eat red meat or anything with spices, had a hard time picking something from the menu. It was 4 women and we should have ordered 2 meals and split it because 3 of ordered the roasted chicken and it is huge (half a chicken each), none of us came close to finishing. We really couldn't enjoy it for what it was because we were in a bit of a rush to get over to the Pirate and Princess Party but if I had more time I am sure we would have liked it more.

How about giving it another try now that you know what to expect? Pick a day when you are well rested and see what happens. Lunch is the most sedate meal, but I have been at breakfast when its been quiet too. Dinner, IMHO, is always loud. You have to be willing to go with the flow and play along with the jokes. I'm a pretty quiet person by nature (and getting older :lookaroun ) but this place sets me up for a great day at WDW.

Not gonna happen.....my wife hated it THAT much.

I'm with you....if I try a place and don't like it, I'll give it one more try....heck...I ended up liking the Indian place here in town on my 2nd go around.

But, I'm telling you....there's NO WAY she'll go back. The service was terrible. The waitress was more concerned with her "act" than on taking care of our table's needs. And that's a BIG no-no with my wife.

We loved it. My only suggestion is that don't get first seating. Some of the things they do (ie when asking for ketchup) is better if the restaurant has been open for a little bit. It is loud, but still worth the fun. I thought the food was great, we didn't order off the menu, just got the standard skillet.
