All the classics. I'm for making the lines better, but I don't like changing the actual ride much. But when you see similar rides like Peter Pan and Little Mermaid and see the difference in the rides bc ones a classic and ones new, it makes you wonder if an update would be good if they wouldn't change much.

if you want to put the ticket price down to $60 i will ride with you on walt's dreams.
what we have now doesnt justify the price.
Why not just have Disneyland full of nostalgia?
Do we need both parks full of dated AA?

Nothing is untouchable to the New Disney Mindset....
Although, in theory your correct, the thing that is preventing this right now is those of us with a history of Walt Disney in our youth and early theme park experiences. However, give it another, say, 40 years and nothing will be untouchable, because our connection runs much deeper then the current collection of new visitors. All the historic attractions will be gone, in my opinion, by 2050 and replaced with something else or made into a meet and greet. By 2050 I will either be taking my much needed dirt nap or be a grouchy 102 year old, but unlikely to be visiting a theme park or caring about what happens to them.

I think most of the Fantasyland rides are safe, for the time being. I think the major change that will be made in the years to come is refurbishing the queue areas, like they have on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo, so that the lines are more amusing for children. One of the chief complaints about WDW is the long waits. There's only so much they can do about that, but they can try to make the wait less boring.

So the rides that I think will always stay:

The 3 mountains
Winnie the Pooh
Dumbo
Small World
Festival of the Lion King
Expedition: Everest
Fantasmic

I think anything in Epcot is really up for grabs to be removed or reinvented, as we've seen in the Maelstrom debacle. It was intended to be educational and progressing with the times. Times change, so will Epcot.

This is my list of attractions that should not be replaced (although I would like to see new elements and improvements that keep the original spirit of the ride - like the new BTMRR ending at DL or say replacing a scene in the GMR with another movie):

The mountains in MK (Splash, Big Thunder, Space)
Pirates
HM
CoP
Jungle Cruise
PeopleMover
PeterPan
SSE
Living with the Land
Ameican Adventure
Soarin'
GMR
Star Tours TAC in 3D
ToT
Everest
Animal Safari

Small World - The aura alone from the 1964 World's Fair would keep it here. Plus one of Walt's babies

I'm gonna add the Tiki Room as another of Walt's babies. He sponsored it with his own money when the park corporation didn't want to build it. Not quite as iconic as It's a Small World, but still a classic and a strong Walt connection.

Golden Carousel - ditto

I don't know. The carousel doesn't have a very Disney feel. And is this a must-ride for anyone? A carousel seems like an obligatory ride for an amusement park, but Disney doesn't feel a need to be like a typical amusement park. I could see this going away if they had some other pressing use for the real estate.

All the "Mountains" - all are too popular and they bring the element of a thrill ride
Everest - Probably the most thrilling ride in the park, plus a great photo op in many places in AK

I don't see Everest as special, but it won't go away as it is a "mountain". Too big to fail. They wouldn't throw away this investment.

Jungle Cruise - An original, and although it takes up a lot of space it's there for good

I could see this going away, despite its nostalgia and popularity, because of the immense real estate it takes up. Maybe not at WDW, because they have plenty of other space to expand, but maybe at Disneyland.

Tom Sawyer's Island - would be too hard to do anything else with it, it stays

They couldn't fill in the Rivers of America and make it just another piece of land? This area is one of my nostalgic favorites, but it doesn't seem that popular these days. I could see it disappearing.

I left out everything in Epcot. Nothing is untouchable there IMO.

Spaceship Earth is the only thing in Future World that has survived untouched (except for changing the narration and the descent portion) and I think it will remain so. It's the park's icon and a perennial favorite.

I have heard that the Carousel and the Country Bear Jamboree would be ones no one would be surprised if they left. My question is why? I think the carousel is perfect right where it is. You walk under the castle and it is right there. It couldn't be in a more perfect place. Besides, what in the world do you put in its place? It barely takes up any room and there aren't going to be rides in the middle of Fantasyland anyway.

Country Bear Jamboree is another one that is sort of tucked away and doesn't take up a whole lot of room. Why ever get rid of it? It's a classic. What would you put in there instead? It should always stay, I think.
