Which value is "best?"

My wife and I are looking at taking a trip next summer. Due to finances, we're thinking a value resort might be the way to go. However, after having stayed at Poly last year and POR before that, we have some concerns.
Mostly, I'm worried about transportation and noise/crowding. Which value is the best for transportation and a little less noise?
Thanks in advance!

Well, POP only has one resort so thats 1/3 less the crowd then the All-Star resorts and way less wait time. That is why we chose POP this year.

I've never had any trouble at POP and I have stayed three times. The CMs have all been great and even though it can get noisy, it never was at night. I might have hit it at just the right time of year all three times! I love the resort and am looking forward to the opening of the newest section across the lake. I don't think the rooms are all that small, but then we've never had more than 3 and it was the usual sleep and shower when not at the parks.

I've only stayed at POP, and I've also stayed there 3 times, and haven't ever had much of a problem with either transportation or noise. For whatever reason, most of the morning traffic usually goes to one or two parks, so I usually try to go to the parks that don't have as a big a line for a bus.

I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, and leave the tv on for background noise when I'm going to sleep, so I may not be the best judge for nois, but I never really had much trouble with noise. Unless you, on a slim chance, get stuck booked in a building with rowdy teenagers, I don't think noise will be much of an issue.

After staying in all of the Value resorts at least once my vote goes to All Star Music.

Each All Star is significantly smaller than Pop, so lines for buses are shorter both going to the parks and returning. It also makes the food courts and other public spaces a little less hectic as well.

I have stayed at ASSp, ASMu and PoP. Of the three, I have not had any problems at Pop. The theming at all of them are great but Pop had their own buses and we didn't have any room problems. I like the food court and shop at Pop, too.

We had room difficulties at ASMu. We were bumped up to a family suite due to so many peoblems and then even had some there. We are not complainers but these things could not have been overlooked. So when we stayed there we ended up in 4 different rooms in 9 days...eeeek. The staff there was amazing, the food was great. We also had problems with our KTTW cards, too. We also waited a lonnnng time for buses. We waited 3x at least a half hour each. What a waste of time!!

ASSp was fun. The only problem was the clientelle there. There were all of these teams from other countries staying there and they were rude, loud, rude and loud. Did I mention rude and loud? The resort was great and we loved the theming but the kids and their chaperones were NOT.

With all of that said, if I were to stay at a value again, which I will not due to my last experience, it would def. be at Pop.

Good luck!!

I've stayed there three times - I've never had a problem. I can barely hear anyone around me. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I enjoy the food court. And the plus about Pop Century is that they have their own bus line, where as the AS were lumped in a bus from Hollywood Studios. My boyfriend and I just hopped on another bus and walked over because it was an awful wait at park closing.

In response to the bus comments, POP has almost 50% more rooms than the All Stars. 2880 vs 1920. So at times, you may have more people getting on a bus at POP, than at an All Star. For instance, in the morning, I have found that the All Stars tend to each get their own bus. However, in the evening, they tend to do it as a single bus for all 3 as trying to sort out people on a given bus would be tough. Not to mention the number of people that would just walk to their hotel. So in the AM, you will probably have less people getting on a bus. In the PM, you will probably have more people. It's a toss up.
