Why small though? Give us a POTC size drop Disney. The first drop. That’s one is pretty decent. From what I understand it’s biggest drop on any of the POTC attractions worldwide?
I really do consider Pirates to be small drops. LOL

Lol fair. I feel like it’s pretty decent for that type of a ride. I think when most people say small drops when it comes to Disney parks they re thinking like POTC’s second drop or smaller. I’d consider POTC’s first drop to be a medium drop. It’s kind of in a league of its own in the Disney parks universe if I’m not mistaken.

Let this poll be a lesson in the power of IP. People really don’t like Avatar all that much do they? The boat ride confirmed to be an E ticket most likely using Shanghai POTC tech housed in a beautiful land with amazing rock work and water features is losing to the screen based ride confirmed to be using the Fantasy Springs Peter Pan ride system. I hope Disney doesn’t look at this poll. They might think they can save a lot of money. Then again, I’m about 99% sure that if we do another poll in 6 years asking “what is the best ride of the new three new additions” the vast majority will say Avatar.

I don't think these polls aren't really indicative of much, it can change based on the state of where things are in the design/construction cycle. As more information comes out and construction begins the interest level of posters change. Its something I've noticed over the years being on forums like this.

Redo the polls in 6-9 months when Avengers starts construction and the poll might change with it leading. Or take the poll again in 18 months when Coco is in full blown construction and the poll might swing back to Coco. Or take the poll again in 24-36 months and it might show that Avatar is leading.

Sure things can/ will change but considering what we know now at this moment I find these results really interesting. My main two takeaways are two things- the fact that we know the most about the Avatar attraction is working against it in this poll and that the IP is just not all that popular. It seems like it’s just an event movie/ spectacle people go see in theatres and then forget about for 5-10 years.

Not sure if we can say that about the Avatar IPs or not. As if that was the case then FOP or Pandora in general wouldn't be as popular as it is.

Once its built I think it'll end up being one of the most popular lands in the Park.

I think it's more that Avatar already has a land at DAK where the other two are things that haven't been done before. Yes Avengers does technically use the Pan ride system but the theming is drastically different.

A poll of 34 votes as of now really isn’t that conclusive- do hardcore Disney fans represent the “people”?

(oh and there’s more votes for avatar right now lol)

Lol never mind Avatar is up a vote. Please disregard what I said. No but seriously the proportion of votes has stayed pretty consistent from the beginning. Those of us here are also very informed and in the top 5% of Disney parks super fans. So I think it’s fair to draw some conclusions based on this small sample size. For an informed person here to anticipate the Avengers ride more than the Avatar ride based off what’s we know is interesting and can only lead me to believe a few different things which I previously mentioned.

Guilty as charged on not liking Avatar. I did FOP and Navi a couple times and never felt the need to do either again (the land itself IS beautiful, but I don’t think it belongs at AK). Have they announced where this Avatar Land is going at DCA? I’m skeptical they could fit anything on the scale or beauty of the land at AK.

My vote still doesn’t change of perceptions if Disney went different with Avatar or Avengers choice of attractions style to go with...Coco has the medium where everyone can enjoy. I really do want mill boat ride in the Pier with a playful drop. I think that why I am open with Coco attraction in the Pier.

I'm excited for the Coco ride... but man, the thought of having a mega plussed version of the WAY too small and short Na'vi river journey (if it's anything like that) excites me just a tint amidgen more.

Avatar, with Coco as close second. If we can get anything even close to the emotional journey we experience in FoP with the Shanghai Pirates tech, I would be so seated (and I'm not even particularly invested in the Avatar franchise so much as I am enamored with the natural extraterrestrial aesthetic).

I'd heard rumors from the rat site they're reconsidering the Coco ride in Pixar Pier because of guest flow concerns in the back of the pier, which would be a real shame. I don't know if I'd be excited for a Coco ride in Hollywoodland.
