Which Restaurant Would You Recommend

Hi,
We will be at WDW this Halloween. We go about the same time every year and just love it. This year we'll be splitting our stay between BW and AKL. We're two adults (sisters), no kids and love to try and sample different Disney restaurants each time we go. So far we've done Boma (loved it), China , Japan, Mexico, Norway, France in Epcot(we loved Mexico but found the rest just okay), the California Grill (Yummy sushi), Rainforest, ESPN, most character meals, and Wolfgang Pucks Express.
I keep reading about how much people love Ohana's and I'm tempted to try it. Can anyone recommend a do-not-miss restaurant for us? - thanks, Nancy

I recommend my favorite Disney restaurant: Tony's Town Square. It's right on Main Street USA and offers some excellent Italian dishes. I can't go to Disney World and not eat there. It's definently worth a try.

JIKO- at AKL is for me the best restaurant in the World, new african cusine food with a great wine list. A lot of people seem to not know about his place.

Artist Point - WL great food, love the salmon and the buffalo steak.

Flying Fish - at BW, probably the best seafood place in Disney.

and las but not least

Bongos- over at DTD is a good attempt of latin cusine.

We're trying to get to them all as well, have a few new ones planned for the next trip. Some of my favorites:

For fine dining: Yachtman's Steakhouse, Brown Derby.Fulton's,

For Casual: Cape May Clam Bake, Libery Tree Tavern, Artist Point. Tony's, O'hana's.

Walkup: Harbor House (MK).

Breakfast: Crystal Palace-great omlettes (be warned,it's a character), O'hana's.

Dissapointment: Wolfgang Pucks-upstairs, may have to give this one another try but my first and only experience had very average food and service. Downstairs on the other hand makes an awesome pizza.

Just for fun: Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, Rose and Crown- back deck to watch Illuminations if you time it right.

Best character meal: Garden Grill-never crowded, good chow and lots of Mickey time.

Lite Lunch: Plaza Restaraunt (MK)-Great sundaes.

Never Miss: A Dole Whip-got to have one.

I've never eaten in any of the Swan or Dolphin restaraunts but hear great things.

I liked House of Blues and Planet Hollywood.

Rainforest is cool but the food is not all that great.

I dont eat seafood so the rest I have no idea about

I just ate lunch and i'm hungry all over again after reading this thread. Well you ate at my favorite place already, the california grill. I really don't think anything comes close to this place. But on my last trip, I tried alot of new places for drinks and food. I recommend the following in no particular order:

Artist Point(WL) - you don't hear alot about this place, but the food was awesome. We ate there our last night and it was wonderful. The Buffalo Steak is soooooooo good. Plus we arrived a few minutes before the Electrical Water Pageant started and our waiter brought out our drinks to the terrace so we could watch it. Service was top notch here.

Kona Cafe (Poly) - unfortunately i knew nothing about Ohana at the time, but this place was delicious. As written above the Macadamia Mahi Mahi was very good and the desserts and cofee were excellent.

Narcocees (GF) - i found this place a bit pricey, but the food was incredible. Probably the best "surf and turf" i have ever had. With a wonderful view and excellent service. Great wine list.

Outer Rim(Cont): Great place for drinks as stated above. This place has become a must on my last few trips. It also makes for a great afternoon break while at MK if you need a rest.

Marakesh (Moroco-EC) - eater here several times. Food is very good, and not as exotic as ppl think. My favorite in park rest.

Breakfast Non character - best bfast i've ever had at WDW was at Dixie Landings at Boatwrights. My brother, his wife and I had the skillet and it was excellent. I've had the tonga toast once when i was 17 back in '89 and have no desire to try it again.

With respect to some of the posts above, i've eaten at 50s Prime Time three times solely at the bar. And i've always eaten the same think, the fried chicken. I will say i really enjoy it and i've never been involved in the atmosphere. For what the food is on its own, i found it pretty good. Really tastes like home cookin'. But i don't think i would purposefully eat there, both times it was a matter of convenience and timing. Place is reliable.

Based on all the posts on this thread, board, and on other web pages, I for one will definitely go to Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe on my next trip.

Last note, i promise, has anyone eaten at Olivia's at OKW? The bartender at POFQ on my last trip told me that it is a hidden treasure most guests miss even DVC members. She used to work there, and she raved about it. Whenever a former employee recommends a rest. it must be good i figure.
