Which restaurant to pay for?

Hello all
We will be arriving in Wdw soon, and we have the dining plan. I booked one extra ts meal at trex, because my son loves the place. He is two, so he doesn't "count" towards dining. I have it narrowed down between paying oop between trex dinner or chef Mickey breakfast, which one should go on ddp, and which one to pay for? Thanks in advance

You just need to look at the menu for TREX and see what you all might order there and add it up compared to what you will spend at Chef Mickeys for the breakfast buffet, etc. Whichever one will cost you more use the dining plan for it, and the cheaper one pay OOP.
Most likely Chef Mickeys will be the more expensive one but it may not you just have to check and see. :)

When I checked the Disney website, prices fluctuated for buffet at chef Mickey. I'm assuming prices vary based on season, does anyone know the current rate?
