Which Resort Would You Choose?

Okay so I am having problems with deciding between POR and Coronado Springs. As of now I have reservations for Port New Orleans Riverside but I have been a little leary because Im not into the whole rustic look.
I wish there was an online virtual tour for it like there is for Cornoado. Is there anyone that has stayed at both and prefers one over the other?:brick: Should I change me reservations?

I have never stayed at Coronado, but it does sound nice.
We stayed at POR last summer in the Aligator Bayou section (more rustic).
There is a section that is not rustic (the mansions).
I believe they put us in the Aligator Bayou section b'cause we had 5 people in our party.
We really enjoyed POR.
It is very scenic, quiet (even during the busy season) & relaxing.
There are carriage rides, boating, biking, fishing, pools & a kid's playground there.
It is w/in walking distance of POFQ (which is also nice).
We ate at the food court there & really enjoyed it.
We also enjoyed the boat ride from POR or POFQ to DTD.
The service we received at POR was great!
:D

I personally find POR to be much more enjoyable...Although I have never STAYED at Coronado, I have walked the grounds, and to be honest the theming there just does not do it for me. I would recommend sticking with POR, I think you will really enjoy it.

I have actually stayed in both the Alligator Bayou and the Mansion sections of Port Orleans Riverside. I found both to be lovely and no difference in the room itself. The square footage may have been different, but to the eye no difference.

Neither location at POR is closer to anything than the other. The restaurant has really good food and a nice buffet breakfast in the mornings.

All in all a beautiful resort with the rolling hills and the rivers rolling through the property.

I have no input on Coronado Springs as I have never stayed there. I have stayed at Carribbean Beach and found that to be way to sprawled out. It was a decent resort for its money though.

If I wasn't a DVC member and always staying at the WL, I would stay at POR again.

I have stayed at all three Coronado, PORFQ and POR Riverside. I perfer PORFQ over the other two. Coronado is nice but widely spread out, it's a long walk to get something to eat and to the pools (even when you're supposed to be close). POR Riverside is nice but it just lacks something. PORFQ is a family favorite and the kids love the serpent pool with King Triton sitting on top.:)

my preference is POR

I have stayed at both resorts, and prefer Port Orleans. I am also not in to the rustic look, as you put it, and Coronado was more appealing visually - before I had stayed there. I found it to be a bit too sterile, and much, much noisier - a problem I had not experienced before at Port Orleans, or any other Moderate or Deluxe Disney resort.

Admittely, there are some pretty fountains and nice things to see at Coronado Springs, but overall the experience is not as nice. Also, the grounds at Riverside are really nice to walk around, and we have just enjoyed it more. (At this point, the only Moderate we consider)

Awsome!

Thankyou so much everyone for your input :) After reading this and talking it over with my boyfriend I think we are going to stick with what we have. Only 49 days left whoo hooo!

Def. stay put! We were at Coronado Springs Dec. and it was not all that great. We were 'close' to the main area (dining, check in) but we were a hike and a half to the pool area (which I admit the kids LOVED the pool/waterslide).
