If money were no object - which Disney resort would you stay at in January? Given the shorter park hours, lowert temps and looking for things to do in the evening??

Money is always an object however we are going in January as well and we are staying the first two nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas and the next 6 at Bay Lake Tower. We have a 4 year old and our thoughts were to stay close to the Magic Kingdom for her, since that is where we spend most of our time.

In January, I'd probably either go for a suite in concierge at the Boardwalk Inn, for the convenience of having lots of space, the readily-available food and concierge services on demand, the easy walking distance to two parks, and all of the restaurants and entertainment on the Boardwalk itself.

Or, if my DH and I were traveling without our DS, maybe one of the Garden Suite cottages at Boardwalk.

Given the low temps I have experienced in January, it would only feel right to spend the evening in front of the beautiful fireplace at Wilderness Lodge :)

Wilderness Lodge is nice because of the big fire.

Port Orleans Riverside might be nice because of its proximity to Downtown Disney. Since its going to be colder at night, being close to such a metropolis would be pretty nice. Plus the resort is beautiful at any month.

Contemporary is always a nice place. Plus the shops and being on the monorail is always a big plus.

Those three resorts would probably be my top choices. Can't go wrong with any of them.

Boardwalk or Boardwalk Villas. This gives you the best selection of things to do at night between the Epcot World Showcase and Boardwalk shops and restaurants. I might say Yacht Club or Beach Club if it were warmer due to their awesome shared pool area, but since that will not be an option in January go with Boardwalk.
