Which resort for a young couple?

Hi,
After extensive research, myself and my girlfriend still don't know which resort would be best for a two week trip we are planning for September this year.

I have never visited WDW before, but she has stayed at Swan and Dolphin, however we really want to stay at an onsite hotel this time.

We are in our early 20s, can budget for moderate hotels or the lower cost deluxes.
We want to stay somewhere suitable for a couple without kids, with access to a gym and with nice dining options. Any advice would be much appreciated.

We travel as a young couple and just did a split stay last Fall renting DVC points. We did a split stay between Animal Kingdom Villas(Kidani) and Saratoga Springs.
Loved both. Saratoga Springs we were able to walk to DTD(Disney Springs). And AKV was just amazing being able to see the animals. We will def. be doing so again.
Those are my votes. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me! Have fun!

Also, Wildnerness Lodge is a pretty awesome option too!

I am also in my twenties and travel to the world with my boyfriend often I have used the dvc rental store to rent points and had a wonderful experience. Booking AKL when I went last October was actually cheaper then Caribbean beach which is a moderate. I booked about 3 months in advanced so it doesn't hurt to ask they didn't have the exact room I was interested in but they replied with several other similarly priced options and their request is free. I was worried about renting points but it worked out just like renting from Disney for me I even added a dining plan only difference was I didn't get the book of coupons you get when booking a package through Disney. ( this wasn't an issue because I never use them) The next time I rent I hope to stay at the boardwalk because it is within walking distance of Epcot and offers night time entertainment right outside the hotel.

Oh and yes I agree with previous poster about Coronado has a gym and a great pool and nice food options and a sandy beach with hammocks ...that is a great resort for adults
