Which port orleans question

Just got back today from a 4 night stay at FQ. I have stayed at both Riverside and FQ and have to say I prefer FQ. It's more manageable. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The only drawback to the FQ is the smaller food court and the lack of quiet pools, but the smaller size of the overall resort really does make up for it.

And I loved the greeters at the front door. They were always friendly and remembered us!

Now it's back to reality...

I have stayed at both and really enjoyed both, however as has been stated before, I would say FQ as it is smaller and quieter. Riverside is beautiful though. I don't think you can go wrong with either resort though.

This one depends on your party -- if you have kids, you will find much more to do at Riverside than at French Quarter -- French Quarter tends to have a lot of adults without kids, and lots of single adults seem to prefer the solitude of French Quarter. The FQ pool is wonderful, and both parks share the boats down to DD. There is no restaurant at FQ, foodcourt only. Personally as a single adult who doesn't travel with kids, I vastly prefer FQ for the more adult atmosphere. If I had kids, I would certainly pick Riverside.

They both have their advantages. I prefer staying at FQ for the room decor and because it is smaller and more manageable to navigate, especially since we travel with my 78 year old grandmother. FQ is usually, if not always, the first stop for the buses on the routes where the buses go to both. POR definitely has the best CS restaurant. I would say no matter where you say go see Yee Haw Bob at POR. He provides a great night of entertainment. No matter where you stay, the resorts are a short walk by the river away from each other.
