Which park is better?

Just got back from Universal. I do not think that a first-timer with a 9 year old could do these 2 parks in 1 day.

IMHO, I believe that Studios has more to appeal to a 9 year old.

Studios has Shrek, Neutron, Mummy, Monster Make-up, ET, Woody Nuthouse, Simpsons, MIB, Jaws, Terminator, Twister, & Disaster. Mummy, Monster, & Simpsons are the only E attractions in my opinion. But they are all worth seeing (except Terminator & Nuthouse.)

For a non-coaster 9 yr. old, IOA has Spiderman, Dudley Do-right, Popeye & Jurassic Park.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Having never been there, reading about the attractions is just not the same as hearing from someone who has experienced it first-hand.

I had assumed 2 parks in 1 day would be next to impossible even on a slow day. I'm sure it will be darn busy when we're there so we just needed to know which park to pick as we only have time for one.

I, too, would like to know if both parks can be done in one day

My parents did both parks in one day but they went when it was NOT BUSY, they walked on every ride without a wait.
