Which park first?

Hi! I'm taking my 38 year old fiancé for his first WDW trip in December and I can't decide whether or not I should take him to Epcot or MK on our first day. I think he will love Epcot but MK is just so magical. We have 7:30 reservations at California Grill where we will be watching the MVMCP fireworks and will be seeing Illuminations another night. Any advice or experiences? Thanks!

Well my opinion would be: it depends on your fiance. You know him better than we do. Well actually your the only on here who knows him. When we first went I had no interest. My wife said we are GOING. So we went. I had outgrown MM and had no interest. Luckily we went to EPCOT first. Rode SE and was amazed at the animitronics. I was hooked. I think I rode it 4 times that day. If we had gone to MK first who knows.
