I am in NKY snowed in with 3 kids under 4:hammer:So I am daydreaming about our trip to WDW in May. In your all's very knowledgeable opnions which restraunts have the most bang for your buck counter service and table service. Larges portions, best taste, good selection so on for a decent price.
Thanks!

Well if your on the dining plan, anything that costs more is probably going to offer the most bang for the buck, since pasta primavera and steak are going to each count the same on the dining plan.
Look at the menus on this site or others and you can get a real feel for what will float your boat.
All that said, the pasta selection at a lot of the food courts in the mid priced places is great for a counter service.

Well as far as the TS, if you're not on the DDP try to go to the buffets. If you are on the DDP......try to go to the buffets. I mean all you can eat is the best way to get the most for your money. Crystal Palace, Boma, etc. they have great food you get your money's worth.:D

Some of my favourites:

When I go for counter service I try to avoid burgers, pizzas and hotdogs (except 1 double bacon cheeseburger per trip - mmm so good)

So I like:
Cosmic Ray's - chicken / ribs / mashed potatoes / vegetables (it was carrots when I was there but I think they sometimes have a different veggie).

Sunshine Seasons - salmon, chicken, or pork chop with 2 of the following sides: mashed potatoes / rice / salad / carrots

Beach Club Marketplace - Roast beef and brie on Ciabatta bread - yes it's just a sandwich - but it's very tasty. If you're on the DDP you also get a bag of chips and a dessert (I got a large square half dipped rice crispie treat) and a drink.

:sohappy: Flame tree Barbeque in the Animal Kingdom, chicken, ribs, and salads. Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, alot of great food and desserts, The Plaza in MK. great sandwiches and shakes, Columbia House. Nothing springs to mind for HS. Their counter service is dismal. Wolfgang Puck express in DTD.

I'm a huge fan of Tangierine Cafe in Morocco in Epcot. Good food, lots of it, and not too bad price-wise. I also really like Flame Tree BBQ, but in recent years, the portion sizes seem to have gotten smaller. Another favorite is Sunshine Seasons...though it isn't particularly cheap. Very good, though. As far as MK counter service, I like Columbia Harbor House, though none of the CS restaurants are particularly outstanding, IMO. I try to avoid eating CS at DHS, but when I do, I get the chicken curry at ABC Commissary.

I like EPCOT for their variety in regard to table service. I would say that DHS comes in second. All of the WDW restaurants are overpriced, but what are you gonna do?

fort wilderness trials end restauarant.
all you can eat and cheap too, we found this on our last day at wdw, and was annoyed we didnt find it earlier, nice to catch a monorail to contemapry then boat to fw, great to get a hour or so away from the hustle and bustle of the park but still feel in disney. great value, we will be going back
