I probably sound like a broken record by now, but the WL is my favorite. It reminds me of the Great Camps here in upstate NY.
Love the rustic cabin atmosphere, the sounds and smells. The people are very friendly and I enjoy the type of food offered. Have been to the Poly and the Contemporary...and we enjoyed them, but we end up at the WL time and time again.

I've never stayed at any of these but here's my 2 cents. I picked the Yacht Club for our next trip. The Wilderness Lodge is nice, but having lived in the Pacific Northwest and visited most of the western Nat park lodges, it just doesn't hold that much appeal. Animal Kingdom is great but I don't care for the location. Boardwalk might be nice but it seems a bit noisy over there. Yacht Club has the location, great transportation, a very relaxing ambience and Stormalong Bay. Oh, and my husband is in the Coast Guard so we have to check out the nautical theme at least once!

I'm staying at Yacht Club for first time this Christmas. Think of the great location for 2 parks, and also the BoardWalk area. That whole Epcot Resort Area, minus CB, is like a huge Resort, and it just so happens that YC has the best pool.

I'd also prefer a nautical theme in lieu of something else. So any Epcot Resort would be picture perfect for me.

The only one I've stayed at on this list is AKL, but I've visited the others, and I know I like the AKL better than the others just by walking around.

AKL just has the whole resort theming down pat. And the only resorts that come close it it are WL and Poly. You just feel like you're staying in another theme park, and not a hotel.

Well thats my $0.02. :D

I've never stayed in any of them, but I've been to Wilderness Lodge and it's just beautiful. I'm planning to stay there on my honeymoon, and I hope I manage to do it since I know it'll be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

My choice would be WL. When you are there you really feel like you are in a huge old National Park Lodge. Really great atmosphere.

My choice would be the Boardwalk. Tons f activites there, great themeing, great location, and great restaurants. It's so cool to enter EPCOT from the back. Plus with Yacht & Beach and Swan & Dolphin close, the entertainment and eating possibilities are endless.

My choice bar none is Beach Club! I love it. Especially since you can literally get to Epcot in a matter of minutes and you can walk to MGM if you want or take a boat. Just think while everyone else is scrambling and waiting for the bus after Fantasmic you can be on your way "home" for a nice cool beverage and a little fun on the boardwalk!! The pool is the best in all the resorts and the atmosphere is very relaxing. You can even watch Illuminations from the beach (granted you won't see it all but you will see the fireworks!). Have a blast!!

I will say the Boardwalk purely because it is the only one I have stayed at and it was wonderful, it's not noisy at all, very homely and very relaxing. Plus you have to love staying so close to Epcot and MGM. I would to stay at one of the others on my next trip....after this year maybe 2005............

That's a tough call. It all depends on why we are staying there and who with. If I had kids with me, or friends or just my wife, It would be a different consideration. I really enjoy all of those resorts, but Wilderness Lodge is the one I visit at the end of a long day in the parks, have a glass of wine and unwind on the porch or by the firesplace. It's just a great spot. I love the feeling of the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the experiences with the animals and what not, but the resort is sometimes a little too busy because of its uniquness. Boardwalk is higher on my list than the Yacht and Beach Resorts (which used to be my favorites). Each of the resorts have great dining options. I LOVE Jiko @ AKL! Had one of the best dining experiences of my life there! If your haven't tried it, you owe yourself! But on the otherhand, I've been to Artists Point at WL I can't even count! Its a tough call.

Not really worried about the price...just what everyone thought would be the best place.

Thanks for the help guys! If anyone has anything to add, please do.

I vote for AKL, its our favorite place. We've visited all of the other deluxes and they just don't seem to be up to that level. The theming in the hotel as a whole and the individual rooms, the CMs, restaurants, and just all the different activities blend together perfectly so that you definitely feel you are in the middle of Africa.

I agree with the Beach Club. We stayed last December. On those rainy evenings when we returned to our room (standard view) we could see the Illuminations fireworks from our balcony. Romantic, secluded, personal fireworks show.

My only problem with the WL/AKL is the rooms. I think the resorts are beautiful, but the rooms appear to be very small (moderate rooms + queen beds=small appearance of the room). I did like those resorts though. I visited them both this year, and I loved AKL. AKL also seemed far away though...it seemed to take a while to get there from Epcot.

I don't have a problem with the room sizes at AKL, when we go it is only two people though. As for being far away, you are technically but for me that just adds to the resorts appeal.

We're the same way about AKL. Even thought it has the smallest of the Deluxe reorts room sizes, the rooms are fine for two people, and I've never really had any bad bus issues to speak of, just one problem I had in the two years we've stayed there. And that was due to MK beeing so crowded that day, and all the buses for all the resorts were very busy that day to MK.

The only bus ride from AKL that seems to take longer is the DTD route, but it stops at several places (like the water parks).

We stay 4 people to a room in the WL: 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 8 y/o. We usually don't have any problem. The rooms are bigger in the Poly and Contemp, but we like the atmosphere best at the WL.

Hear, hear. Beach Club has a fantastic location, is incredibly quiet and peaceful in the mornings, has a fantastic pool area, wonderful amenities, and did I mention location? There's nothing like *walking* into Epcot via the International Gateway. Access to DS is via launch, and bus transportation to MK or AK. And, the Boardwalk is just a ten minute walk.
