Which moderate?

Hi everybody. Just looking for opinions. My family and I have always stayed at value resorts. Andour last few trips dvc resorts. Our next trip I believe we will stay at a moderate. Which resort would you recommend for best bus service?

We have stayed at two moderate resorts. Coronado Springs three times and Port Orleans French Qtr two times.

We are booked again for Coronado again this summer as we enjoy the pools, Pepper Market and the overall theme of the resort. It's funny that Master Yoda above my post put that they prefer the bus service for French Qtr., because we are staying at Coronado for the bus service. In my "opinion" the bus service is much quicker to the parks and less stops. Again, no right or no wrong it's just opinions.

Best of luck in your decision.

This is because PORS will typically have a dedicated bus with only 1 stop. All of the other moderates have around 5 +/-.

My favorite has to be Caribbean Beach, but I recall reading that Coronado Springs has dedicated busses that go from that resort straight to the parks unlike value where they hop to other resorts, but I could be completely wrong. :p

Not sure of your party make up and what you are interested in. Personally, I think the buses and Coronado Springs is the best of the moderates. The reason is that many guests do not even use it. They are there for the conventions. For most stays at CSR, I can always sit. There are only rare occasions at any other resort where I can have a seat.

We've stayed at Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans (Both French Quarter and Riverside). My personal favorite has to be Port Orleans Riverside-the atmosphere and theming is great to look at and be around, perfect for nighttime walks. I did not care for the theming of the French Quarter, which focused on Mardi Gras decor, which is fitting of course, but there were clown-like figures and anthropomorphic fruits that didn't exactly sit well with us-haha. It's all a matter of opinion/preference-when planning our trips, my mom scours the internet for pictures/reviews, as well as youtube walkthroughs when she's feeling especially obsessive. But I personally prefer Port Orleans Riverside.

We're staying a PO-Riverside this June and can't wait! It looks so beautiful and I've read many good reviews for it. I've also read that both Riverside and French Quarter are great and it just depends on what style you like best.

I've stayed at POR 4 or 5 times before and have never had major issues with their bus system. I wouldn't let all of the rumors about their buses steer you away from that resort. It's a wonderful resort and my favorite. Caribbean Beach is nice also, but is the most dated of the moderates. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the moderates.

Have stayed at CBR and POR (and walked around POFQ). Both PO's are very well themed but I love the quiet pools at CBR and it's very serene to walk around the lake in the mornings or night. But I used to work at CBR, so I might be a little biased!

Yes you are wrong. Pop Century and Art of Animation have their own buses. All Stars however share them.

I have stayed at all of the Moderates at least once and our fave is POFQ. The A number one reason is it has the best buses with the one stop and then go straight to the park. There are good things that stand out about all of the Moderates but since where we want to be is the parks most of our trip being able to get their quickly and with the least hassle makes this our obvious choice. We previously really liked Caribbean Beach but POFQ just beats it getting to the parks.

Have stayed at PORS (3) POFQ (1) CBR (1) No problem with any buses. Curious to why this is important to you on picking a moderate resort! Gotta be more important decisions unless your into buses;) My warped sense of humour into overdrive." The wheels on the bus go round & round " Lol.

The buses are a very important factor when choosing a resort. It is the reason we stay at Pop every year instead of All Stars despite All Stars being cheaper. With the money you are paying would you rather having to put up with very crowded buses where you must stand every time crushed between people or ones where you get a seat every time? ;)
