The pool at the french quarter is themed great, but the slide is not very good. It is very small and very small (the lizard tongue). But you can also go use the pool at Riverside if you stay there. So it kind of evens out.

What do you mean by the slide is kinda small kinda small? From the pics the lizards tounge thing looks pretty long and fun. Do you mean narrow?

What is special about the pool at CB? From the pics I saw there I couldn't see a slide or anything else but maybe I missed something.

My kids (and I) are into pools/slides etc and our decisions weigh heavily on pools - heading to WDW in Nov and have booked 2 nights at AKL and am trying to decide on our other 5 nights (can't affort Y&BC either:cry: )

The slide at the French Quarter is tiny. The tounge is very short and the slide is VERY slow. If you are looking for a thrilling slide the one at French Quarter is not for you.

You also said you are staying at AKL. The slide there (from pictures) looks very small. If you want a moderate with a good slide the only choice is pretty much Coronado Springs.

thanks for the heads up, too bad though as CS won't be happening for us - just have to head to TL or BB for water thrills I guess.
