We have a half dozen threads on this same topic - so you might want to do a search as well for lots of opinions - I think the moderate resort you will prefer will depend on your needs and your party, as well as if you will have a car or no car, and if you plan to spend time at your resort, downtown disney, or more time at the parks or elsewhere. I personally prefer French Quarter as there are fewer kids, there is less walking involved, and it has that wonderful boat down to Downtown Disney. Plus, the rooms are recently refurbished, nice and large, and comfortable. Riverside is always packed with families with kids. It does, however, have a restaurant which FQ does not have. It is more spread out and walks can be up to 10 minutes to get from your room to the main building. It has more recreational alternatives. It also has the boat to DD. It seems especially a good choice if you have a car and are not reliant on the busses. Carribean Beach has a Beach - but it is also noisier. It is very spread out. Coronado Springs has a convention center which is usually busy. The service seems to be more "business oriented" but also better in some respects. To me, it seems somewhat bland - missing trees and shade in some areas. I've stayed at all four -- the only place I stay anymore is French Quarter since it is exactly what I want. As to the busses, I have found practically NO difference no matter which of the resorts you stay at. They are what they are. So, for me (adults only, no car, using the parks and DD, but not spending much time at the resort at all) French Quarter is the primo and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Overall, you can't go wrong with ANY of the moderates.
